A small restaurant, off the lobby of the hotel it is part of. The decoration is very "early 19C French style", which is kind of fun. It was very quiet. (It looks like they have a patio for lunch, but I was there in the evening and this wasn't open.) The food was indifferent: a slab of what looked like pre-sliced cheese on top of rather lukewarm onion soup; artificial-tasting orange sauce on the duck confit. The duck itself was fine, but I'd asked for the herb baked potatoes instead of mashed (I'm glad I did - they weren't great), and that got lost in transmission. Since I was there only one ordering at the time, there wasn't that much of a rush! (I got the potatoes I requested when I pointed out the omission.)
I would give this 4.5* Food was very good for brunch. I should've gotten dressing on the side for the salad as it was overdressed. Crab cake Benedict was really good. It's also a bit pricey for value even in Los Altos. They accommodated us on the patio with two dogs and we're great about it.
French toast is my favorite!
Just love it! Delicious flavors. Right portions. Guitar and fireplace. Intimate atmosphere.
Perfect rainy day inside by the fireplace in this cozy, charming brunch spot. Gracious, impeccable service and good food. Terrific coffee, too. Parking: Parking lot behind the restaurant, which is in a lovely boutique hotel.
Great food, awesome service, cozy place!
Wonderful atmosphere with our own personalized entertainer Parking: Parked less than a block away.
We went for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere was chill and good. The location is not because it’s at an intersection. Glad we were seated indoor. Brunch mainly serves Benedict eggs, two eggs any style and omelettes. The variety was good. We ordered the crab Benedict eggs and beignet trio. The crab cake was super thick and full of crab meat. I’m glad they are not the grease American style crab cakes! Not sure about the freshness of the crab cakes, taste like reheated from frozen. The avocado under the crab cake didn’t match well and need seasoning. The eggs and holland sauce are impeccable though. Beignet trio contains cream, chocolate and Nutella flavors. Not sure if they were from frozen food too. I like the drizzled cherry sauce! This sweet dish goes well with coffee. We also ordered a latte and a cappuccino. Taste good. I also like the French vibe here and understand it’s the hotel’s restaurant! We were hunting for new brunch places today and after trying this one, I don’t think it worths a special visit.
