We used CAKE for our wedding. They created a beautiful cake design and AMAZING flavors!! Our guests were raving about our delicious almond cake with tiramisu and mocha filling! We can't wait to have it again on our 1 year wedding anniversary :) Thank you Jo-Anne and CAKE!

I'm not big fan of sweet birthday cake. We found this place to buy a birthday cake for my mom's birthday. We've read lots of great comments about this place and was not disappointed at all. Their decorations were great and the taste was not too sweet. Great job

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect, or more stunning wedding cake!!! Not only did the cake flavors taste amazing (the guests loved it), but the tiered cake looked absolutely breathtaking too! A friend recommended Cake Sweet Food Chicago for our wedding cake so we made an appointment. Meeting JoAnn was a pleasure. You can see how much she loves what she does as a food scientist, and that it’s definitely appreciated in her cakes. We had so much fun doing the tasting at home (all of the flavor options were absolutely delicious and it was very hard to choose), and then deciding the cake decoration from a beautiful catalog of masterpieces. We wanted to have a rustic/boho wedding and the cake was the perfect touch. All the guests were amazed with how good the cake was. I highly recommend them if you want your dream wedding cake.

My wife and I hired Jo-Anne and Cake Sweet Food Chicago for our reception wedding cake. We had such a fun time meeting her, trying out cakes at home, and selecting one. All of her flavors are absolutely delicious. Her design work is also gorgeous. My wife and I had a multicultural wedding and Jo-Anne had the wonderful idea of taking the golden henna design from our wedding invitations as an inspiration for the design on our wedding cake. It turned out beautiful!! All of our guests raved about how delicious the cake was. Would really recommend her to anyone.

Jo-Anne is not only an absolutely incredible baker, but also just a truly wonderful person. Having an amazing cake was one of the top 3 most important things for our wedding and she definitely did not disappoint! Honestly it was the best cake I think I have ever eaten, even more amazing than the tastings!! We didn’t even know where to start and she walked us through the flavor combinations she thought best fit us personally and our wedding vision, and we ended up choosing the first combination she named! When we saw the cake on our wedding day it was even more beautiful than I pictured, and exactly what we wanted. We even got chubby wubby wedding favors from her because after tasting the cake I knew they would not disappoint and our guests raved about them all weekend! You cannot go wrong with Jo-Anne - she makes the best cake in Chicago!

I love love love this place. Ordered gluten free gift box for my boyfriend and he won’t stop talking about it. I plan on ordering again for his birthday and seeing if we can get a GF birthday cake made or GF cake jars. My one and only issue is that it is so hard to get into contact with anyone at the bakery. But as a small business I understand one can’t be at the phones all the time. Regardless, she has built a wonderful business - one that makes delicious GF snacks and for that I am grateful. Had to edit to add that Joanne reached out - she is the sweetest woman. If you received no answer when you call just leave a message she gets back to you very quickly. Her enthusiasm is infectious and I will be a long time customer of this business.
