I was excited to try this place with my friends since it was so highly rated and in the Top 100 Places to Eat in Texas. Food is solid. Service is amazing. Ambiance is mediocre. Food. I enjoyed my shrimp etouffee! It had big meaty pieces of perfectly cooked shrimp with great flavor. However, the rice and onion pieces detracted from the experience. The fries were normal. The catfish was good except that it was more breading than catfish at times. Not sure if the Catfish Olivia plate was worth $18.25 when the other plates were $12.75. The beignets were fresh and fluffy! You can order them for after the meal. Service. All the staff were very friendly and helpful! Facilities. The eating area is quite tiny with only 3 tables inside. The kitchen was right next to it. It was hot as it seemed like the AC wasn’t working, so the dine-in experience wasn’t so pleasant. Would I come back? Yes, but inly for take out.
The food is amazing, taste homemade and fresh. The basil lemonade is to die for. I have to say it again the food was delicious. You won't be disappointed this is definitely a gem in cedar park.
Hands down the best food I’ve had in Austin! Mrs. Shantrese, the owner, greeted us and was so friendly. We ordered gumbo, boudin balls and beignets to go (I only managed to get a picture of the boudin balls before eating everything else). Everything was delicious and flavorful. As a Louisiana native, I can proudly say Cajun Skillet is truly authentic. We will definitely be back.
I didn’t eat there. When I got there the sign at the door said they don’t accept cash.
Limited seating but worth the wait.
Excellent! Food was delicious and Trese is the best - warm and friendly from the time you enter the door until you leave. The place is small so if it’s during a busy time plan to get food to go. Might be time to expand.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to eat here. We walked in the other day and the place was over 80° inside. So we turned around and walked out...
