Cajun Roux Bar & Grill

It was a great place to eat, everyone we encountered was very nice and happy to stop and chat. The food was delicious. Will definitely be returning and telling people to try it out.

We had a few people and I don't think anyone liked their dinner that night. Buyer beware.....they have an hour and a half MAX time you can be at their table if they want to impose it and they DEMAND at least 20% tips. It's on a big sign right in front of the door.

Little pricey, but good food

ALL checks are 20% gratuity, not allowed to stay more than an hour and a half once seated *signs behind hostess stand. If you dislike the food (oh well), you cannot send it back. *this is printed on the menu Understand that the owner is protecting his staff. Bartenders didn't recognize me all three times went to the bar to order a drink while waiting for our party to arrive. A customer actually assisted me with ordering my drink. Very disappointed in the food though. Sorry.

Great food, atmosphere and service on a recent dinner at Cajun Roux. Try the seafood risotto. To die for‼️

Finding a good Cajun place can be hard, but this one seemed to stand out from all the rest… mostly. My first visit to Cajun Roux was with a friend that frequents often. I was sold on the idea immediately! Upon arrive we were sat promptly and the service was attentive and kind. We ordered… a lot! It would take too long to describe them all. But every dish we had was better than the one before… except the shrimp and grits. I’ve never been so let down. Ever! The grits were just swimming and a sauce that was sour and bitter, the shrimp over cooked and the bacon was more ham than anything. It tasted spoiled. Upon telling our hostess, she said she should have warned us it is not traditional nor a crowd favorite and most people don’t care for it.. well of course we wanted to send it back due to it being inedible. This request was met with “There is a no return policy on our food. Sorry” She was kind with the delivery however after having a bill for $200 for 2 people, one would think under the circumstances of it tasting foul a business might have another policy or make an exception. This could and SHOULD have been a 5 star review and I’m so saddened it isn’t. Everything else was stellar but one bad dish and bad policies can ruin everything STAY AWAY FROM THE SHRIMP AND GRITS and be sure on what you want, because you are stuck with it and with their high prices, it’s a risky gamble.

The food was excellent, I got the Mardis Gras Pasta. The service was very friendly, and fast.
