We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood at this restaurant, which did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lively, with music and patrons singing and having a great time. However, the service was lacking in speed. Our drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, which was longer than expected. We were thankful for the water while we waited. Additionally, the appetizers were delayed and arrived with our entrees. I must deduct a star for the dirty bathroom. The ladies' restroom was messy, with toilet paper on the floors, dirty stalls, floors, and sinks. Cleanliness is important to me when evaluating establishments. I hope the kitchen is cleaner than the bathroom. The staff seemed more focused on chatting at the bar than attending to customers or cleaning the restroom. There was no one at the front to greet guests, as they were all gathered at the bar. Overall, I would have rated this restaurant 5 stars for the food and ambiance, but it falls short due to these issues. Kid-friendliness: They have a kid menu available
The service here is terrible. I did like they add a 15% gratuity to bill. However when I asked the waiter if gratuity is automatically added, she told me that she splits the gratuity with the bus staff. The bus staff could be excluded from staff, as they only brought our food, which could have been accomplished by our server. Also this is information that should not be shared with customers. I find that unprofessional and bad service to feel guilty about gratuity. I love great service, and this restaurant lacks good service. We were rarely checked on and it took forever to get drink refills. Our order was small but we were there for over 2 hours waiting for our food. Restaurant is extremely busy and not enough space. You feel crowded. I would not recommend this restaurant
I took my son out for his birthday on February 3,2024. Initially, when I called the person over the phone told me that I didn’t have to make an appointment. So I got there around 7ish The young man at the desk told me that it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait. Neither to say we waited almost 2 hours. After an hour and a half I went back to the desk and let different lady know how long we’ve been waiting. She told me “you know that you could’ve went somewhere else”I told her that she was very rude. When it was my turn to be seated the same young lady through the menu on the table and then walked away. After being seated I ask to speak to the manger . The waiter. Told me the one that seated us was the general manager.. “ My mouth dropped when she told me that was the manager treating a customer like that. I spent over 300 and something dollars to get that type of treatment. I would never go back there again. Bad customer service..
Visited for my birthday dinner with family food was good BUT service was NOT that good. Service fee was 25$ that I wouldn’t mind paying IF service would have been good.! Server left and took forever to take our order. Asked for 2 orders of egg and got 1 asked her to bring us that missed order she brought it out when we were done with our food. My daughter asked for a soda refill she took for ever to bring it. Waited more than 20 minutes for her to take our payment. Place was not busy at all not sure if I would go back.
This was a last second stop that was a mistake. Service was not good. Drinks took forever to get when our waitress did come around. Food took forever and was not very good. Calamari was not good. Catfish was underwhelming. Music was so loud it was distorting. All in all bad experience. Would not recommend nor go back.
My fried catfish was burnt, the waiter took it back and replaced it.
This place is lit. The holla bags are great deal and so delicious. Bianca was lovely!
This was my first time at this location. I usually go to the Oak Park location. Immediately upon entering you notice signs on the wall stating that a 17% gratuity is added to every table automatically. Not a problem easier for me when the bill comes. Our server was very nice when he took our order and that is where the good ended. We sat for 45 minutes after placing the order waiting for our food. We watched the table whose order he took after ours get there food still our server never came back to us. I finally flagged down someone else and inquired about our food. I was told that things were backed up because they had a party room. She goes back into the kitchen and immediately returns with our food which had to be just sitting waiting I don’t know how long to be brought to us. Of course it was Luke warm. I was with my 13 year old granddaughter who only wanted a Mommy and Me day for her birthday so I didn’t complain or ruffle any feathers we just proceeded to eat and she did enjoy herself. The bill comes and I see that the gratuity is labeled a service charge and they had the audacity to want an additional amount they were calling a tip. I did double check with another staff member about gratuity being in the bill. Needless to say he better be grateful for that service charge and now I know why it’s automatically added to the bill I won’t ever be back!
The atmosphere is a appalling. Music so loud we could not stand it. Plus not to mention it is a genre most patrons can not stand. To make matters worse the speaker above us was blown and crackled making bad music terrible. The food was actually pretty good but not great. Another kicker is the hidden fees. $5.00 for lemonade when drinks are free with a kids meal. But a special lemonade doesn't count. No coffee or tea. Most everyone in our group said they will never comeback.
