Love this place! Food is really cooked with care. Don’t miss the tres leches cake.
Great food, great prices, great atmosphere. Head chef in the kitchen is also the owner, and you can tell there is craft, care, and passion in the food.
Lovely place for breakfast! There is a lilting Mexican music playing while the host and hostess go about serving their guests, all with a smile. Food is simple but tasty. Priced reasonably, you cannot go wrong ordering any one of their dishes. Tea is served as well as coffee and soft drinks. Nice decent tables and chairs. Good ambience.
What a neighborhood treasure! Had lunch from Xochimilco many times, and every time it’s fantastic. Always go back for their chilaquiles and tortas. So delicious and very affordable. Top of the recommendations list for my Astoria neighbors and visiting friends.
Very good food. Clean place.
So glad I stopped by! The breakfast burrito was hearty & delicious. But what made it worth it was the hospitality and service - it reminds me of my trips to Mexico. Great breakfast menu, including chilaquiles! But also smoothies and French toast if you’re into that. If you’re in LIC, stop by!
I was pretty disappointed with this place. The breakfast photos are positively stupendous and I decided to go all out by getting the eggs with green sauce and ordered some steak on top bc the steak on the chilaquiles photos looked awesome (I just preferred beans over crispy tortilla). The eggs and rice/beans were awesome but the steak was disappointingly dry and overcooked. It's decent Mexican food (I'm acknowledging that I have to consider this is NY and not south Texas), but just not quite as good as it could be if they focused a bit more on details. Also I would say the ventilation leaves much to be desired. I was the only one in the restaurant and ordered only one dish (plus matcha which was unexpected but tasty). I felt like it took forever and I smelled worse than I did after Korean BBQ downtown. So plan to shower and do laundry after coming here. Sadly I had no such option with my coat since I was only in town for a few days. A few days where I smelled like Mexican food the whole time. Gross. OJ was also so bad I tossed most of it on the walk home.
My photos won’t do this place justice: I highly recommend it- truly a gem within LIC. If you’re looking to support an amazing local business, it has to be this one. Delicious food, reasonable portions for the price- you will not leave hungry!
Very cute little place with amazing food! Everything was a hit! Beef taco with consommé is my favorite! The waitress is very friendly and good at introducing options and recommendations.
