Cafe Old Vienna

Jan 2024 Down a star due to 3 stale desserts. They look great in the case but were very stale. The sachertorte, the chocolate mousse cake, and lemon berry cake--each stale. The mousse was so dried the whip cream and mouse part crumbled at touch. Next time will stick to savory menu items. Dec 2023 Visit. Cafe Old Vienna has a warm, cozy atmosphere. Every dish we had was prepared perfectly, comfort food and delicious cuisine. My favorites were the schitznel and spaetzel with a delicious light brown gravy. Even accompaniments like the pretzel, fresh baked bread, and sauces were perfect and prepared fresh. I dont know brews, so appreciated the friendly bartender who recommended hirter dark lager which was an excellent beer. Christmas songs and classics played by a talented accordionist made the visit feel like a family holiday get together. Will be returning soon!

Hands down one of the best and most authentic Austrian restaurants in the country. Werner and his team do it right...

Visited for the first time a couple weeks ago. Food and service was excellent. Atmosphere is laid back casual. Only negative is I wish they had more variety/selection of German beers. Got to have Spaten, Weihenstephaner, or Warsteiner on tap or in bottles.

We stopped in here for dinner one night before heading to the Boardwalk. It was boiling hot outside, but the restaurant was very comfortable inside. Very nice decor throughout the restaurant. Friendly staff and clean. There is indoor seating and a small patio outside. I would not suggest sitting on the patio during the summer months. The food tasted amazing. Authentic to German-Austrian cuisine. The schnitzel was fried perfectly, and had lots of flavor. The gravy on top had a rich mushroom flavor. The spaetzle was freshly home made. The sweetness of the red cabbage complemented the savory noodles and meat. Would definitely return next time I’m in Myrtle Beach. Five stars!

Whenever I'm in Myrtle Beach I always try to stop at Cafe Old Vienna. The food is always good, fresh and plentiful. Servers are friendly and usually dressed in custom Austrian/Bavarian attire. Restaurant decorations and authentic German music take me back to my time in Germany many many years ago. On Jan. 18th 2024 had a wonderful server named Jeff. Very cordial, attentive and friendly and a top-notch server. The Hungarian Goulash is always good, and this time had the "German Meal For Two" which was Great and enough for four. Please don't change a thing. I will be back the next time I'm in town for another delicious authentic German meal!!
