You’ll never wait longer for coffee! Seriously never seen such apathy for service. The food is your run of the mill baked goods. But seriously why do people wait 45 minutes in a drive through for this?

My favorite coffee shop! The cold brew is my go to, but their seasonal drinks hit the mark. We get out coffee beans here, and it is nice to have a local spot to grab coffee from. The drive thru is a bit tricky, but that is something that COVID gave us. If you get there early, the pastries are delicious.

Many people including me have had their coffee since it’s featured at many coffee shops and restaurants. But many probably have never gone to Cafe Moto’s actual location in Barrio Logan. I was one of such people until my most recent visit. I met a buddy here since I was close by, and this IS his favorite local roasted coffee beans in San Diego. It’s pretty much a walk-up, drive-up to-go spot, with a few tables & chairs for 2 on the sidewalk. My buddy ordered their hot Dutch Mocha espresso and I had their hot decaf Americano. There was a short walk-up line and an even longer drive-up line at the time of our visit. After ordering, we waited an additional 5-10 minutes for our orders to be called, then consumed them at one of their tables attached to their building on the sidewalk. My Americano was delicious. No complaints, and my friend’s Dutch espresso is one of his usual orders so I can only assume he loves that as well. They do have a restroom inside for patrons. Just enter the door around the corner from the walk-up counter to access it. They take AMEX here, a positive these days since many merchants don’t. If Cafe Moto was closer to our home, I could see coming here more frequently, but my local coffee shop in Bonita (Donny’s Cafe) uses Cafe Moto’s coffee beans so I get to drink it without coming all the way to Barrio Logan. It’s a pretty cool spot, and I highly recommend trying it out if you’re a lover of good coffee!
