Cafe Marquesa

Had an amazing dinner from appetizers to dessert. Food was exceptional…service was top notch and manager Nate was the best! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

This restaurant was so good. Very intimate but bright and friendly. The food was spectacular. Chef Laurence created the most amazing dishes. Definitely recommend the yellowtail snapper, the gnocchi, the triple tail and the beignets especially.

Cafe Marquesa, we thought it would be the dining highlight of our trip. Unfortunately it was the most expensive but it wasn’t really that great. My wife and I both had the exact same feeling with each course we ate, food that lacked flavor. We ate 4 different items, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees and the result was the same. Based on the reviews it must have been an off night. Atmosphere wise, I get that it is a small place and every table matters but all of the tables along the window are so close together it just feels too close and leaves you feeling like you’re eating with strangers and people eyeing your food choices. Maybe next time?

WOW!! The food was amazing. My wife and I had appetizers which were enough for the meal, as well as some scrumptious desserts. We also had wine and cocktails that were outstanding. The servers were attentive without being oppressive and the ambiance was quiet so you could have a normal conversation. We'll be back next time we're in Key West.

Amazing staff. Food is also unbelievable. My only complaint is it's a small space. Only like 12-18 tables... So it gets very loud, very quickly with just normal conversation. Other than that, impeccable Dietary restrictions: Once our server realized I was vegetarian, she offered a special menu, different options, etc. she was amazing trying to work with me.

I would like to start by saying hats off to the Chef. He absolutely kills it every time I dine here. My favorite spot is at the bar with Wyatt, his knowledge and service is always spot on. The she crab soup is to die for, the yellowtail phenomenal, the desserts are out of this world. If you enjoy having a nice perfect meal get the tasting menu. You will not regret. 10/10. One of my favorite restaurants in key west.

I don’t usually leave reviews but was so put off… we made rsvps at least a month in advance. When we arrived there was some confusion, not seeing our name. I showed my email confirmation. At which point the hostess did an eyebrow raise to the bartender behind her, odd. She tells me some one else there gave our table away… and says d they incorrectly read the computer/ book. She said he can get you in at 9:00— we had a 6:00 rsvp… we said no thank you that’s a tad too late. Responded Sorry … and made us us feel we were in the wrong… Poor business… should have said help we screwed up if you can reschedule please do and have an app or round of drinks on us… nope let us walk out again like our fault… Yes the food is very good but bc of that customer service incident we will never go back… plenty of other wonderful restaurants in this town

We've been coming to Key West for >20 years and Cafe Marquesa is an absolute "must go" restaurant!! Chef Lawrence has created amazing culinary surprises. We had pork, fish, and filet, and each one was better than the first, best scallops and pork belly I've ever eaten. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to anyone who visits Key West. Lucas was a gem and super attentive server! Our glasses were never empty and he was an excellent source of info on each meal Chef Lawrence creates. AN ABSOLUTE ! IF I COULD GIVE IT 10 STARS I WOULD!!!!!!

We love Cafe Marquesa. The food is delicious. Consistency is king and they are always consistent in service and food. I had the special and it was amazing. Shrimp and gnocchi, yum! Lucas was our server, he had been our bartender a couple days before, he is amazing. Thanks for another great experience while visiting Key West. I forgot about the key lime pie! Omg, save room for it!

Incredible dining experience! Service was on point, thanks to our server, Wilson. We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 entrees and 3 desserts. Everything was paced out perfectly. The food was phenomenal! Crab “cakes”, scallops (with possibly the best pork belly I’ve had), and bisque to start. Miso glazed grouper and veal chop for entree’s and a mix of desserts. Everything was remarkable. My compliments to Chef Laurence.
