UNFORTUNATELY, CAFE GREIKOS HAS CLOSED. My family and friends enjoyed a meal the day before they closed. Reportedly, they are looking for a new location. CAFE GRAIKOS, a long established intimate eatery, prepares traditional Greek foods. Uniquely, their selections include vegan, gluten free, and conventional entrees. Our server, Carmen, is knowledgeable and friendly. Portions are large. Seating is on the patio, or inside the cafe. There is a vegan section in the menu. Being a vegan I generally order the Veggie Plate. It's a misnomer. It should be called the "Veggie Platter." The meal begins with a serving of Fassolatha, a rich baby lima bean soup. Next, the platter arrives. Gently warmed onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers, softly bedded on Rice Pilaf, garnished with cool tomato slices, then kissed with a piping of satin-white, aerated garlic. The presentation also includes hot Falafels (spiced mashed chickpeas formed into balls and deep-fried), cool Yalantzi (rice stuffed grape leaves), and triangular segments of warmed Pita. The side dips are Hummus and Tahini. But, today for a change of pace, I ordered the Vegetarian Combo Platter. The presentation begins with a cup of Fassolath and triangular segments of warmed Pita. Next arrives the platter, which includes a crisp Mediterranean salad, (tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and parsley, dressed with lemon juice, olive oil, and somak), Yalantzi, and Lentil Pilaf cradles Imam Baldi. (a long eggplant stuffed with walnuts, onion, garlic, and cilantro, topped with a house tomato sauce, and baked) Absolutely delicious. I took half home. Sit back when the server ignites the Saganaki. It's spectacular but, unfortunately, not vegan. (Oompa!) At dinner, there can be a 15 to 20 minute wait. RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Telephone orders for carry-out are accepted. Delivery services are available. ADA compatible free parking. Everything is wheelchair accessible including bathrooms. Vegetarian options: Many choices of excellently prepared Greek dishes. Dietary restrictions: Whenever possible the chef will alter recipes to follow customer's dietary requirements. Parking: Large lot. Plenty of handicap spaces. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair accessibility.
Front of the House Staff is great, food is great. Edit: In response to Rob: Who said they were better off without me because I posted a vaguely unsatisfactory comment with the way management opperated. Is that why you told a current employee that I was like family, and you were holding a place for me until I could come back? You told her this blatant lie 2 days after you told me u wouldn't let me be a server anymore. After that you called me and proceeded to make me feel guilty for my legitimate medical documented issues? How do you respond to the fact that most of the ex employees who leave your restaurant block your number? There is no consideration of the fact that I worked for you over three years through all of covid, and no truth to your statement that the workers are like family
