Café Hollander - Downer

I do not love this location of Milwaukee, but they definitely make the atmosphere inside very nice! There is indoor and outdoor seating. The beverage menu is extensive, especially for the beer drinkers. I've had one of the bloody mary's and the tropical mule before, both very good! I loved the shrimp salad. The cheese curds are great! I recommend having 3 or more people to split them though. The frites cone is good, especially because you get to choose two of their great dips! The Sriracha ranch is my favorite.

Came in for an early dinner. The space is open and inviting, exposed wood and brick. A great beer and cider list, and a fairly expensive menu including quite a few vegetarian options. We started with the brussel sprouts. The flavor was delicious, but they were hard as rocks. A word with the manager, and it was graciously taken off our tab. My husband had the club, which was very good, and I had the Bolognese, which was also good. Our waitress was wonderful, taking care of us without hovering.

Pretty sure they'd rather i went somewhere else. Sad considering i always appreciated Idol's operations but maybe it's just me and here. Oh well.

I ordered the chicken wrap and fries via Door Dash and the food was perfect. Packaged well and delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

I love the QR code option to pay, it makes splitting Bill extremely convenient. The food is good, the staff is friendly. It's a good time. They also have a gluten-free menu and are very careful about gluten allergies!
