Vegetarian options: Best mushroom tibs
This was my first time at Cafe Colucci and I couldn't have loved it more, this place is a gem. The food was amazing. We got half/half sumbussas, begue tibs, and a hot chocolate and it was all so flavorful. The vibe is really great too. You can tell that a lot of love has gone into this place. It feels good to support a local business that is mission driven and feels like such a cultural hub. Shout out to Daniel for a great evening, we will be coming back!
First time at the (not so) new location.
Great place for authentic Ethiopian food according to my Ethiopian friend. I like this region's taste since that's what I was introduced to when I first visited the Bay Area years ago.
It feels like a very casual restaurant. I think servers could be a little more attentive, but otherwise everyone has a great attitude and energy. It’s a mellow vibe. The food is delicious! I always get the vegan sampler. What’s interesting and a little disappointing is the serving of injera you get when you dine in versus ordering for pickup or delivery. Dining in, you’re often served a basket of injera with your meals. However when ordering to-go, you do not get any extra injera. Now, I have never looked closely at the bill when dining in to see if the unsolicited basked of injera carries an extra charge. I wouldn’t think it does. If they packed the extra injera, no doubt this review would be 5 stars. Regardless, the food is always good!
Excellent space, food, team and many more goodness at Cafe Calucci. Merci Will keep coming back -
Food was very good but every level of service (from host stand on) was terrible.
