Burrito Meet Churro

Please call before visiting to make sure they are open. The owner is a 1-man show, and he does not always come in when the store is supposed to be open. This man literally has no one else to help him with the store if he has an emergency or he's not feeling well, etc.

If you've ever had a a burrito from a Chinese food truck than you know what this tastes like. I'm not a fan. Maybe their churros are better? Don't plan on eating there, the seating area is very dirty.

Food: I ordered the honeydew milk tea, Asian beef burrito, Bahn mi, and fish and fries. The milk tea tasted bitter and watered down. The burrito had ginger in it and the meat tasted spoiled. The Bahn mi was actually great. And the fried fish and fries were decent. The fish wasn’t defrosted all the way. It seemed like they took it out of the freezer and straight into the fryer. It was very mushy in the middle. The fries were okay. Service: I felt bad that there was only one person working. And he apologized for the long wait which I appreciated. Environment: Very dirty. I see food all over the ground, bugs flying in and out of the restaurant. It’s also 10 degrees hotter. It made me think whether the food is spoiled or not. Only a few napkins available. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

SO filthy. We stopped there to get a banh Mih and a Mango Smoothie and while we waited for these 2 items we noticed the kitchen was absolutely disgusting, the toppings bar hasn’t been cleaned in weeks, the floor was sticky and the cockroaches were climbing the walls. It’s ridiculously dirty. AVOID!!!!!!!

This place is so dirty that you are at risk of getting food poisoning. Kitchen has not been cleaned in a long time and so everything else in this place. Lots of cockroaches seen climbing walls and very sticky on the tables. Stay away from this place!

There was only one person working when I went but he was very friendly and appreciative. He gave service with a nice smile. Unfortunately the churro was not cooked right, the outside was nice and crispy with good flavor but the inside was undercooked, very doughy. I also ordered a Taro milk tea and that was good. If they can get the right frying temperature down for the churros it would make this place a very good place for churros and drinks.

While the name of this place references two Mexican staples, it's really more Mexican meets Vietnamese. For me, churros meets Vietnamese coffee is a combo from heaven. It's nice to find good vegetarian options. We tried both the vegetarian burrito and the vegetarian banh mi. They use the same tofu, which is in a lemongrass seasoning. Certainly different for a burrito, but very tasty. The banh mi was also good. The aforementioned coffee was also good and strong. It may be a little sweeter than I'm used to, but I don't mind. We ended with the creme brulee churros, which has a smear of creme on one side, and did have some burnt sugar. It was messy, but so good. The owner was very friendly. When he had a little time, he came out and asked how we were doing and answered any questions we had. They could use a little more seating inside, but overall, it was a great experience. They’re supposed to be open from 11am to 9pm, they’re still accepting orders on grub hub, I drove here to find this note on the door saying they’d be back at 3:30 because they went to pickup their son. It is now 4:03 at the time I’m writing this review. Still no one in sight. This is beyond unprofessional, and your business will not survive with you operating in this manner.
