Two stars overly generous. The coffee drinks are way over the top. Cute for kids. 60% whip cream. The other 40% was not coffee but some sludge of sugar. I actually felt sick after drinking it. The waffles were good but I was expecting great for the price point. Service staff great and super friendly. Unique place but my first and last visit.

went during the week (i think a thursday) while on vacation, i found it very easy to order/ find a table and the staff was very kind and helpful. we ordered a blue matcha, seasonal iced tea, and a waffle to split. the server came over several times to clarify how we wanted things/ ask if we wanted an extra plate for the waffle. we thought it was delicious and were glad we stopped in during our short stay in fort myers. coming from someone who works at a small business: they also had a sign up saying they were short staffed and to please be patient with them, so if you’re in a hurry maybe read that and decide to go elsewhere instead of writing a bad review for a small business that has great food and folks working their butts off

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Bullig in downtown Fort Myers, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The service was top-notch, and the staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating. I have never had a waffle like this before. It was absolutely delicious—fluffy, golden, and oh-so-satisfying. It was truly a culinary masterpiece. The restaurant also has a fascinating backstory, which adds an extra layer of charm to the dining experience. I was fascinated to learn about its history and how it came to be such an integral part of the downtown Fort Myers community. What’s more, the restaurant is dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for pet owners like myself. They even offer a “pup cup” for furry friends, which my dog absolutely loved. This breakfast restaurant is by far the best spot in downtown Fort Myers. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the overall experience is truly memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and delightful dining experience.

This used to be our favorite place to come when we were in town but after today I doubt we’ll be back. First, the system they use is very confusing. You order your food, and then hope to find a table, because it’s first come first serve on seating. You feel like a table vulture constantly hovering over people eating hoping to grab a table as soon as they get up. Then instead of giving you a number or pager, a server walks around the restaurant calling out names to figure out whose food goes to who. Second, I understand they’re training new people and/or short staffed, but we waited 45 minutes to get our coffee, and an hour and fifteen/half for food. The coffee orders were pretty simple, an iced latte and a “fairy dust” (which was a little more elaborate) With our coffees almost finished, the food arrived. Third, the food arrived on the most perplexing plates I have ever seen, totally flat, not built for anything runny like an egg. Don’t get me wrong, the food was delicious, but to wait an hour and 15-30 for waffles is a little extreme. They do taste amazing and you can tell a lot of effort goes into presentation, but at what point is that not worth the wait? There also isn’t silverware at the tables when you sit (see fourth bullet) so the food arrives then you have to ask for silverware. Fourth, since seating is first come first serve and there are no servers, tables stay dirty and it’s confusing if you bus your table or not. This restaurant seems to be in a limbo where it’s not sure if it wants to be full service or a place for a quick bite, but it’s definitely not able to perform for a quick bite at least on the weekends because I can’t speak for during the week. The whole experience was 2 hours long which unfortunately overshadows the great food.

Ate there several months ago… Food was fine, menu was limited. Meals do not come out quickly. I am updating my review as my wife are thinking about returning for a meal. We haven’t been for a long time because the service was really bad and I really don’t like being negative in reviews. The place is nice , the food was great but we were totally ignored. We tried to ask questions about the menu and it was an effort to get helpful suggestions. We assumed it was because we were older than the other people dining there and we had just moved to Florida and thought maybe they just prefer to service a younger clientele not middle aged people. First time we have ever experienced this. We are hoping it was just a fluke and next visit will be better.

Out of some sophomoric sense of duty to the volatile compounds of espresso, this place refused to give me one, and required that I taint it with water, or milk. Imagine a wine bar in Spain has a French visitor. The wine bar, “priding” themselves on their spritzes, refuses the Frenchman a simple glass of house red. The Frenchman implores: “I know what I like, I prefer a plain, mediocre red to one with bubbles and sugar” The Spaniard behind the bar staunchly refuses, with an air of superiority, saying the establishment is not “set up” to serve “just wine” Since i’m complaining: the plates are small and without raised edges, which is not functional for runny yolks and pours of syrup. Otherwise, very good waffles. Edit to respond to owner: Espresso, like wine, is an ingredient that can be lovingly consumed, all by itself. It is nothing like flour, or raw bacon, and it is misleading to compare espresso to raw and non-consumable ingredients. Espresso can be thus called a “component” rather than an “ingredient”. Coffee grounds and water are the “ingredients”. Serving me coffee grounds is like serving raw flour. My analogy to wine vs spritz is much more accurate. Do you serve sides of JUST cooked bacon, or JUST cooked eggs? Perhaps a side of JUST your delicious aioli? Of course. You value the choice of your customers to select the components they love. You can be logically inconsistent in any capacity, including restaurant owner.

I would rate this place 10 stars if I could! Food is absolutely delicious. My go-to is the “bullig.” I’ve been coming here for years and it’s definitely a hidden gem. I recommend it for anyone that LOVES waffles and good specialty coffees. So worth the money, all the workers are lovely, nice clean environment. Highly highly recommend
