Were were at your Coventry location in Fort Wayne Indiana. We had a group of 8. Our waitress was great and the restaurant was 1/2 full for a Saturday night. We ordered and it took an hour for our food to come. We enjoy the atmosphere so it was fine, but strange since the restaurant was only half full or so. When her food came out, our waitress just handed us items and the food looked extremely old like it’s been sitting there and I touched it and it was cold. She let me know that they were out of the chicken tender for the kids meal. I let her know right away that I don’t understand why nobody told me this as I ordered over an hour ago and It wasn’t her fault, but why wouldn’t somebody come back to our table and let us know that since you’ve been sitting here in an hour, and then all of the food was brought out and my child had nothing. Been in customer service business for a long time so I understand sometimes staffing is an issue but not one time someone told me there was a problem and that things will take longer or that way they were out of something. I told the waitress it was not her fault and I wanted to speak to a manager. When the manager came over he looked upset that he has to talk to me. I let him know my concerns and mostly that they sent the waitress out to deliver the food that you could tell was not up to standard. You could tell that he was upset that I was talking about it and he said I know that it was cold and they were out of chicken nuggets. Let him know that’s not an acceptable answer as a manager he could have walked around and let us know things were out and service would be slower. He proceeded to get even upset at me and told me that I needed to let him speak and I told him all he was giving me was excuses and not understanding why I was talking to him. I let him know that I wasn’t gonna pay for this food as I probably had over $70 or so and that I waited over an hour and a half the time I walked in restaurant at 5:20- was sat at 5:42 and food came at 7 o’clock. He told me if I was going to be belligerent that he would ask me to leave so I told him that I would. The waitress was upset that he was talking to me that way. I told her she had a great job and I handed her $20 because I feel so bad with her. I cannot believe that guy would be considered a manager. The way he talk to me talked to me while was concerning as I was just telling him direct facts about the issue. And then, when I looked at the website after we left, there are horrible reviews, people waiting for to be seated and be waiting on deliver their food.
