We stayed in SoCal for 2 weeks and we ate out for most meals, and this was by far the worst experience we had. First, the server didn't bring drinks even after reminding her. When she did finally bring our drinks, she forgot some of the straws and said she would be right back but that took several minutes. This is not to mention refills on water, let alone tea or soda. Having to constantly ask for a refill for each person was a bit much when we are going out to eat on a day they were not even that busy. Beyond that, she forgot part of the order, and after all was said and done, we were charged for things we didn't order and as a guest in someone's house, I didn't want to argue so I just paid it. This was just the service mentioned so far, there was issues with the food as well. Though we ordered "family" portions, we received very small portions other than the spaghetti, which was the only thing that resembled a family portion. By the time we got most of the dinner, some had already finished some of their meal. We never did get parmesan, pepper, or anything we would usually throw on our pasta. For the final issue, they responded to our review like all other reviews; a canned message from a marketing firm that offers reputation management. While I don't have a problem with that, I do have a problem not addressing the actual complaint and doing anything to resolve it. Instead, a canned message letting us know nothing more than what they said on dozens of other complaints, demonstrates complete lack of concern for the complaint and their customers. Ultimately, I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was our only bad experience the whole trip, and was one of the most expensive. We spent literally well over $2000 in 14 days dining out without any bad experiences other than this, and this was definitely the worst $200 spent.
Only 3 stars because of the smell. Our server (Dan) was lovely and the food was delicious, but I can’t begin to explain the smells of the restaurant. There is a fishy odor throughout the restaurant and the upstairs reeks of old pipes. The women’s restroom was unbearable, it made us gag. I’m only posting this in hopes that validating the other reviewers that mention the smell will help them do something about it. Besides that, the restaurant is great and I’d hate for the smell to ruin it for other people.
Buca is one of my favorite places ever! However, it kind of smells like cat litter in this location. Maybe the carpet needs to be deep cleaned? Not sure I want to go back but it’s the closest one to me so I’m torn. Food was fine it just smells in there.
First off this place smells bad I ordered a chicken parmigiana and a lasagna got food poisoning the next day I couldn't get out of the restroom for 3 days, took me more than a week to recover, will not recomended
