Love this location. Great ocean views

OMG food is amazing, the service is great. All the forest gump stuff around is just great. Went down to Santa Monica pier and we had to try it and I am glad we did no regrets.

Super Quick service, delicious food, and it's great for kids. Plus, there's a nice atmosphere and a beautiful view. I recommend it to everyone.

Well I remember this place as a great place to enjoy dinner from a few years ago, but when I visited during the rainy night last week, it didn't feel like the same place. The fact that the waitress outright lied to us and seated us downstairs in the cold (she said the upper room was closed due to rain and leaks when we later saw it wasn't) didn't help, but the food also was "ghastly" as Mr Ramsey would call it... we got the mixed plate and there was a pound of breading and oil on a tiny piece of meat on each of them. 'Hush puppies' were inedible. The lower room was without the view, cold, and there was almost noone sitting there. We didn't say anything, cause, you know, people working, respect, etc.. but as we were leaving, we noticed the upper enclosed patio was not "closed" as the waitress informed us, but rather bustling! That really turned me off and I asked her why she felt the need to misdirect us, and she gave me 3 different stories: she didn't say that - there was a leak now it's gone - it was the lower room's turn for customers... I didn't ask for the manager or anything, i was just trying to understand why she felt like lying or discriminating against us, but she very quickly blurted " do you want to talk to my manager?" ...which made me think her manager was OK or maybe in favor of lying to customers, so I said no, just that I knew she lied to me but it was really her problem, something she has to live with. All I will do is never go back!

While I wouldn't describe the food as exceptional, it was certainly good. A little bit pricey though for the quality. However, one of the things that truly made our visit memorable was the stunning sunset view from our corner table by the pier. It was truly amazing. Great location! Now, what really stood out, though, was our server Tyler (Santa Monica Pier). He was incredibly attentive and fun, sharing some Forrest Gump memories from the movie and making our time there a truly enjoyable experience. This serves as a great reminder to businesses of the importance of having exceptional staff, as it can greatly enhance the overall dining experience. Tyler deserves a rating of 20/10 for his outstanding service
