My daughter attends Chapman University, so I generally get my coffee on the circle since it is a quick walk. But, yesterday I was in the area of Brot and stopped to get a coffee. Best coffee I have had in years. The barista did a pour over and selected just the right coffee for me. I went back today! They also gave a nice patio that is perfect for my dog.
I just became a Regular! Take a few moments to watch their Barista work. It is an absolutely beautiful show. Quality is top shelf and their prices are super reasonable. I get a toast with butter and a side of hard boiled egg and mozzarella. Best 20 minutes of my day watching the Barista pour while I ate.
Quiet, friendly place. Good bread/coffee.
The e.a.t toast was my go to. The seasoning is so delicious with the perfect amount of citrus and salt amongst other spices . Coffee is usually a hit . However I had a bad experience today. The cashier in the pink that served me today was very standoff ish. I said good morning to her and she just kind of stared at me. When she took my order, she seemed very annoyed, didn't say anything to me and just punched in my order . She clearly she did not want to be there but everyone else seemed to have a normal attitude. After my experience today, I will not be coming back as service is almost as important as the taste. There are too many cafes in the area to be treated that way.
Excellent in every way Parking: Ugly strip mall parking lot
the lady in the pink working the cashier this morning was super rude to my wife. She didn’t even say hello after being greeted this morning. What kind of customer service is that? How can you not even acknowledge a customer let alone any human being who is saying hello to you?! How uncomfortable is it to just stare at them in the face and stay silent. I mean that’s crazy. I come here frequently to study but after this appalling interaction I can’t come here any more. There are plenty of other coffee shops in the area where the coffee is fantastic and the staff are incredibly friendly. bottom line: Don’t come here.
If any “complaint” it would be about the girl working the register. I don’t need a smile but some recognition or hello welcome good morning. Anything. Maybe it’s too early for her. Maybe it’s her first job. Idk but she made me feel unwelcome. The customers were actually way more friendly than her, lol.I heard her greet a customer with “Huh”. Parking: Watch out for the unhomed folk
I ordered the mocha and my husband got the masala chai latte. Both were perfect!
The best coffee around. Friendly people and outstanding service. Love the place!
