Broken Yolk Cafe

I ordered the caramel banana French toast. It was dry with barely any caramel sauce. Also, the cream cheese and bananas were just laying on the French toast. It was weird.

The Chilaquiles are off the charts! I will definitely go back.

This place is a San Diego grown classic. Food is solid but the hospitality is noticeably extraordinary. Staff is extremely nice and very attentive. Excellent experience from start to finish. They set a gold star bar for hospitality and whoever is doing the training and hiring does an excellent job because there are so many staff and everyone who interacted with me was on point which is super rare.

Went here while in town visiting family who enjoy this chain of breakfast diners. I understand this location used to be a bar of sorts but now is a very open but well organized dining space. We were advised to get a meal that included a muffin side because they’re made fresh on site… and definitely glad we did! I got a Tiki Toast plate which was amazing and fun - big chunks of bread made into French toast. The omelets are definitely good too. We enjoyed our time here and certainly recommend!

Always a great experience and way more friendly than Eastlake location. They are so attentive and so nice. The food is the same every time!

Nacho and Rodrigo made our morning with their outstanding service. Food was so good we will definitely be coming back.

We’ve been going to this specific location for 3 years now and we prefer this location because of the atmosphere. It’s more calm and all of the employees are very friendly. The food is always so good! I did give them a 4/5 stars because sometimes the potatoes will taste too oily or they will be burnt and the sauce for the chilaquiles sometimes tastes bland but most of the time it’s great!

The waitress was super busy so it took me a while to tell them about the potatoes I'm not sure the oil was old or something but they tasted bad but the manager came over and she was able to take it off of my check but I would rather have been able to tell her sooner so I can get a different side or have them replaced. My mom loved the espresso martini! They had cute Valentine's Day decor.

Very delicious food but way too expensive.
