Worst bar in Downtown LA. Walked in at 11pm, said “hey what time do you close?” Because we didn’t want order drinks and then immediately get kicked out. Our server Daniel said “midnight, you have an hour to enjoy your drinks” We ordered drinks, as soon as they arrived the bouncer said “you have ten minutes to finish your drinks” And kicked us out. Check was dropped off, $44 for 2 drinks, never saw Daniel again. No surprise why, automatic gratuity on the bill, he knew full well they were about to close, lied to us to get his aut-tip then gave us the boot, knowing full well we made it a point to make sure that didn’t happen. This place treats people like trash. You're better off going to the rooftop bar at Wayfarer Hotel down the street, people there were amazingly nice, great views, giant drink list. Broken Skaker was broken alright, tiny drink list, scammed us, just straight up trash.
Questionable cleanliness, average drinks at best and $5 for ice... and not the large cube ones either. Been here several times for the atmosphere and rooftop pool vibe. Each time, the cocktails are unmemorable and made seemingly half distracted. I'm not sure if this is the menu itself or the bartender. The cups, whilst plastic for safety purposes, are always dripping wet. A simple wipe down should not be too much to expect. The last time I went, I was charged $5 for ice. This wasn't even for the large pressed cube ice that you would expect from such an establishment, it was for standard ice that you get from your local McDonald's. Suffice it to say, I haven't been back, as there are plenty of other rooftop bars that provide quality drinks and service.
Really good drinks and incredibly freindly and up beat staff, Definitely make it an objective to come here.
Came here with a couple of my friends for some drinks and a rooftop view really lovely place with great vibes I was served by Izayah he was amazing made my evening special would 100% come back just to see him!!
Drinks are expensive, plus they charge automatically 18% service fee plus 4% fee to cover the health insurance of employees. The charge like this in the “luxurious” rooftop doesn’t look good.
