Food was average. Burger was cold and not seasoned well. No offense as it was so busy and crowded

What an amazing hidden gem this is! Especially if you're a connoisseur of fine beers, appreciate an amazingly wide range of uncommon types, and/or just enjoy drinking beer in the ideal environment (as close as I've experienced in the US to a real old-world pub ... even footy on the telly). After drinking downstairs for a couple hours, my buddy and I almost left without even going upstairs, which would've been a mistake since I'm only visiting Decatur for a day and otherwise wouldn't have realized Brick Store Pub is such a special place. We were lucky to meet one of the owners who is a super nice guy and was awesome enough to show us around their beer cellar and explain/show how the original method of carbonating and kegging beer yields drastically better taste than the modern method. I wish I could recall the right terminology to say that better, but the bottom line is we tasted the exact same beers from both methods and the difference in taste/smoothness is shockingly extreme. Even the atmosphere of Brick Store is authentically that of a European pub, from the layout to the decor. Every one of the half dozen staff members I interacted with was excellent too. Everything is literally perfect. It's not just another run-of-the-mill bar. Oh yeah ... The food is great too! I'll definitely make a point to go back to Brick Store every time I'm in Decatur.

Visited in October 2014. Brick Store Pub is a popular beer bar in Decatur. It has two floors, each with a different theme. The upstairs is dedicated to Belgian beers, while the downstairs offers a variety of American brews. The beer selection is impressive. However, if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place, this might not be the best choice, as it can get very crowded and noisy, especially on weekends. I enjoyed my visit to Brick Store Pub and I would recommend it to any beer lover who doesn't mind the hustle and bustle.

Wide selection of craft beers and friendly bartenders. Everything was reasonably priced. Would recommend as an after dinner drink place.

The BSP is a treasure. Great food, incredible service and there is always that vibe. Kudos to the waitstaff! This is how it's supposed to be!
