We’ve been to Brentwood’s a few times in the past and enjoyed it. Though It’s always been pricey for what you get in my opinion. Decided to try it again last weekend. When we arrived, we were told they ‘lost’ our reservation, even after I showed the confirmation on my phone. They said we should try to find a seat at the bar and could have dinner there. We had a 95 year old with us and bar stools are a challenge for her but we made the most of it. Dinner was ok, not great. Service was pretty bad. 95 y/o ordered a glass of wine, which apparently they were out of and they subbed a much more expensive wine without telling us. (We found out when the bill came). No apology, just “yea, we’re out of that wine so we gave you a different wine”. We had to ask numerous times for them to take our food order and to get the check. We felt pretty ignored. To be fair, they were a bit busy but not slammed. Poor attitude from the bartenders didn’t help. Won’t be going back.
Lin was a fantastic server. The food was delicious and we can’t wait to return. Worth every penny.
Service was superb. Best crab cakes I've eaten, and I've lived near the Chesapeake Bay--where we pride ourselves on our crab cakes-- much of my life. The atmosphere was very pleasant; a nice place to meet with family and friends and catch up. It wasn't loud at all. You don't feel like you have to shout to be heard. Finally, the value of what you get for what you pay is a nice surprise as well.
Country Club elegance - quite refined decor - parking lot filled with luxury cars. Food and service excellent.
