very nice establishment family friendly
The best. Small venue but big taste. Must stop if you’re in SF.
If you are looking for authentic New Orleans cuisine in the Bay Area, this is the place. Everything is delicious, but the oysters with the Tchoupatoulis sauce may be the best thing on the menu. Crazy good. Plus they have live music every Sunday after five.
The food was great. Healthy soul food is amazing. I have been here a few times. I enjoyed the fish and grits. The beignets are awesome. My favorite is the apple.
Come here to change things up with spectacularly flavorful soulfood. Brenda's was a unique experience for us with a combination of beignets, catfish, grits, and more. The catfish and grits were creamy with the perfect balance of sweet tanginess. The gumbo was slightly spicy with a pop of okra flavor. We had one crawfish and a side of hushpuppies to start and the hushpuppies where the star there. A crispy shell over a moist cornmeal batter. Suprisingly the crawfish beignet was our least favorite, but we finished by splitting a single chocolate beignet for dessert which was excellent. Unfortunately the groups of homeless people camping outside and along nearby streets make the walk a bit uncomfortable, we suggest taking an uber if possible. Parking: We parked on post street and walked down. A local told us not to park closer and there were some broken car windows along the way. The walk wasn't pleasant. We reccomend ubering straight there if possible.
Being SF a city of many options it is difficult not to pay attention to the many recommendations of this place. It is by far a place to go and fall in love the first time. I'll be back to try more from the menu while I can.
My first time eating here and the food was delicious. My family enjoyed it.
Went here with a group of friends. Food was really good and the service was awesome. Food came out very quickly too.
