Definitely worth the visit - super tasty food (but you have to be able to deal with the heat on some dishes). I recommend the chicken poblano burrito, which is very hot but also deliciousness incarnate. Also super tasty is the chicken popocatapelt sandwich or the Azteca steak. One of our weekly go-tos :) and our stomachs are always happy.
Guys omg y’all… so back in the day there used to be this place called sushi samba in the village featured in sex in the city. I went there mad times because I’m Brazilian and they had they beat moqueca de peixe that I ever had! It’s a Brazilian fish stew served with rice. Coconut milk and palm oil (óleo de dendê). So this place BrazMex Cafe now has the best moqueca de peixe! It was so incredible!
Authentic fajitas, ample portions, the best homemade flan ever, prompt and friendly service, two blocks from the beach.
Huge ripoff!! We ordered 2 large chicken soups priced at $14.50 each. The soup was mostly broth with very little chicken and vegetables and was maybe a little larger than a normal soup bowl. To add insult to injury, the bill for the 2 soups was $30 and the guy couldn't understand why this was wrong. After several attempts to explain, he offered to give me back $1. I certainly wasn't going to try to explain to him that the tax was based on $30.
Beautiful place with even better food!!! The salmon and churrasco is so freaking fresh and their tacos LORDDD so good! Enjoy
The food and service was delightful. The chefs nd the servers were very attentive. However, after leaving the restaurant and reviewing our bill, I noticed they charged us for “bottled water”, even though we received just glasses and water in a decanter. And because we asked for refills on water, we were charged twice. It was normal water, nothing fancy, but we were charged six dollars for it :/ Unless it is packaged and branded, I believe water should be free, so that was disappointing. Just something to keep in mind before dining in here.
