Brazas Chicken Avalon Park

Some of the best avalon has to offer.the customer service and atmosphere is A-1! The food was good to ok. There's some dishes that have let's say an acquired taste.but honestly it was mostly delicious ...this is a must try while in avalon!

Had dinner with friends. The service was challenging because with a full restaurant, they only had 2 waitresses. Music was extremely loud to the point that we were screaming to each other. Ask to lower the music, which they only lowered it a tad. After 5 minutes, music was to an impossible loud again. I have to say the food was delicious, especially the Seafood Arroz Chaufa. The portions were good, especially the salad, which is perfect to share with the table. The Sangria was not good at all. Stick with the beer.

This food was exceptional. Stopped by after the Avalon Park Aglow Parade. The closest Peruvian spot to me is La Granja so I wanted to give this place a shot. I ordered a whole chicken and papa a la huancaina. Let's break this down. The pollo a la brasa was perfectly marinated and cooked. The breast meat was so juicy and flavorful. It was a good sized bird too. Not one part of the chicken was burned, overcooked, or dry. They lightly wrapped the chicken with plastic within the container to keep it warm. It took me 30 minutes to get home and the chicken was still hot! The Peruvian green sauce (huacatay) was amazing. It wasn't lazily made like in most places. This sauce with just fries would make a meal alone. There's a mild and spicy version. I had the spicy one. There's was a yellow tint to it so I'm sure it has aji amarillo so it had a good kick and great taste. It complimented the chicken perfectly. The papa a la huancaina was the most surprising part. Most places I've had will make it too bitter, mild in flavor, or thick. It's rare to find a place that knows how to make this dish correctly. Brazas does not have this problem. The sauce is thick but creamy, slightly spicy, and since it was a take out order they separated it onto its own container so I could prepare it once I got home. I found my new Peruvian staple and I can't wait to go back and try the dishes.

I went here for the first. Nice en. Family oriented. A place to have a great time with family & friends. A very small restaurant, but great food! Parking: You have to find parking on the street around the lake.
