Brassica in Bexley

UPDATE: I was contacted by Brassica to do a survey (probably because my orders dropped from at least once a week to zero), so I let them know my opinion. They gave me a gift card to try again, so I did. I did the curbside pickup and the order was promptly brought out to me with a smile. So I figured I would try again. Did curbside but this time I waited almost ten minutes although the person bringing it to me was friendly. I tried one more time but this time I went into the store and received my order immediately. I’m upgrading them to three stars since the food has always been good and they appear to have rid themselves of rude employees. If the can fix the issue with the long waits for curbside (or just get rid of it all together if they can’t make it work), I will upgrade it to five stars. I was a regular here because the food was good and the service was friendly. But for some reason they have decided friendly service is no longer a priority. The food isn’t so good that I will deal with that lack of courtesy. There are other food options in Bexley, and I will be taking advantage of those instead of coming here.

The young woman who made my bowl on 1/30 around 2:15, did an absolutely fantastic job. It tasted better than the first time I had Brassica many years ago and will be the reason I return. There was a bit of a wait this time, but my food was worth the wait.

We live in Bexley and have visited this shop several times. We have loved visiting the restaurant since their opening. The last few times we've ordered hummus plates, though, have been very disappointing and completely opposite of experiences we've had in the past. The hummus was thin and runny, and the amount of toppings were extremely minimal. My wife only likes a few toppings on hers and only gets feta, cucumber and cabbage. On her recent order, there were literally just sprinkles of ingredients. This with the runny hummus was just notat all appetizing or worth the $12 we paid for the very weak dish. I'm not sure if it's because we have been ordering for pick up later at night and we're not standing in front of the server when it's made, but there is no way I would accept these plates if I saw it before opening the bag at home. When I stopped in to pick up, the restaurant was not busy and didn't seem rushed. That said, service is always very friendly and the falafel is always the best.

Vegetarian options: Really good!

It's a "chipotle" style set up where you choose what toppings and ingredients you want on your sandwhich or salad. The falafel was fantastic and all the ingredients tasted fresh. The minty pink lemonade is fantastic as well. A great place for a quick and healthy meal
