Ate there for five days only one dish that I thought was just average (breakfast sandwich), rest were excellent. Last day I had the restaurant week lunch (French onion soup, Chicken Sandwich, chocolate cake) which was very generous portion and very tasty. Lobster toast was over the top, one of my favorite this week however might be heavy for some. Crab Benedict was on lighter as it was filled with asparagus alongside crabs and two eggs.
Anniversary dinner date - My boyfriend raved about the chicken however the steak was a bit too salty for our liking. The waiter Travis was exceptional. Very attentive & personable. Highly recommend the ChicagoU martini
Wonderful Restaurant Week lunch at the Brass Tack with great club like atmosphere and excellent service that met our every need. Our selections were prepared and presented to perfection.
The most incredibly crispy and fluffy waffles I've ever tasted. I don't think that waffle can be any better or improved in any way. Who ever is making those waffles, thanks a lot, you know what you're doing. Second visit: James is top notch! Highly recommend him for exceptional service. Everything we ordered was superb. However, I do really miss the waffles. I hope they bring them back!
It's chilly inside, our food got cold quickly. Limited menu, quite interesting ingredients, salads are good, steaks were nice but seafood. This place has to expand seafood varieties. Service is poor, ppl never cleaned the table, were out of water, mess everywhere.
The Waldorf Astoria Breakfast was quite disappointing. For $33, we got one raw sliced avocado, 2 eggs sunny side up, and 2 potatoes with a toast. It was as basic as can be :(
Portions very small for the price and got violently ill a few short hours after eating there (had the salmon); also the service was so-so however I worked in hospitality for over a decade so my expectations tend to be quite high. Only plus for me was the atmosphere and location in Gold Coast.
Unfortunately, my recent visit to Brass Tack was disappointing. The restaurant was severely understaffed, resulting in extended wait times and nearly every dish being unavailable. We were left unattended for a significant period, food was served cold, and to add to the dismay, there were no dessert options at the end of the night after being offered it as a courtesy for poor service. Overall, it was an unfortunate dining experience.
Delicious food inside a beautiful atmosphere. We had a great server.
