I was looking forward to visiting here to see what they do. Had read good things. First, it's not someplace special to take your wife to. Not upscale, not fancy, but adequate. Ate at a small table for 2 that barely had enough room for two plates. Then the salad bar. Greens were nice and crisp, fresh. The rest was ho hum. No blue cheese dressing so I went with ranch and found it very runny, almost watered down. Not something I would call restaurant quality. The peaches on the bar were good though, but very fresh from the can. Now for the main course. Wife ordered the delmonico steak medium rare and a loaded baked potato. Her steak was very thin, maybe 3/8" thick, and cooked to medium well. Had one end with black char. Not cooked evenly or to correct temp. I went for the 18 ounce ribeye medium rare and the loaded baked potato. My potato would not melt butter. Not hot at all. The steak was cooked to the rare side of medium rare and was tender and tasty but about 1/2 the steak was inedible fat and gristle. I like my steak with some fat on it but this was ridiculous. I left half of what they served me on my plate. The prices were lower than any place in our area for a steak dinner, getting out for about $60 including a 20% tip. Service was very good. We don't plan on going back.
