Food was spectacular! We had the beet done 3 ways to start ..just OMG! I ordered the boneless short rib with mushroom risotto and red wine demi. It was cooked to perfection, seasoned just right. Everything we ordered was superb, Dave ( our server) was so knowledgeable, can't wait to go back.
Had to leave this review to shoutout Alexandra who served my friends and I for a birthday cocktail night recently. From the minute we sat down until we left we had the most amazing service, she felt like a friend that we wanted to hangout with and it made the service experience very memorable! We only had a few cocktails (which were really great and I’m impressed with how extensive the cocktail menu is - there really is something for everyone) but based on the service I will 100% be back to try the food and more for the menu. Thank you Alexandra!!
EDIT: For my second visit during their busy time on Friday evening Cocktail were great..perfectly balanced..So it depends on who makes the cocktails at this place..This place has huge potential..will be back to try more of their cocktails.. . . All drinks were very simple for a cocktail bar.. Cocktails were completely out of balance..over sour for most of the cocktail..base spirt and flavors were not comming out because of that..drinks were over shaken as well as a result were over diluted... did not try food as there were no vegitarian options.. Hospitality was good..ambiance was nice too..Hope they work on mixology and bring some innovation to their cocktails... Infusion and house bitters with complex flavors should do it..
Great food, friendly service and cute interior. Prices were reasonable/comparable to other brunch places. We didn’t have to wait for a table which was nice on a Saturday morning. The banana bread french toast was very indulgent and the eggs Benedict was on the fluffiest focaccia bread. The potatoes were excellent as well. Would go again!
I’m giving our experience a two instead of a one because the cocktails were really good. My husband and I rarely get out for a date so we were super excited to be going to check out Boxer. I ordered the $28 main course gnocci dish. Please see the photo. It’s all shiny because it is literally swimming in oil. It consisted of several lumps of something pasta like covered in oil. That’s it. Our server seemed to be having a horrible day and obviously wasn’t interested in serving us. I don’t think she smiled once; she mostly just seemed annoyed by us. I do not like giving low reviews but this was particularly bad. Kudos to the cocktails tho.
Service was 10/10, great cocktails. Great atmosphere inside, unfortunately the location makes you want to meet your date at the car and walk them in (which we should probably be doing anyways). The wine paring is well done as well.
