Bourbon

So disappointed. Waited 2 years to go here. Was on their website earlier to decide what we want only to get there and its hulu Hawaiian week foods. Had to go from southern to tike inspired food. Small portions, overpriced bourbon. Came home hungry, made 2nd dinner. So disappointed when the name of the restaurant is my favorite drink. Won't be going back. I'm still flabbergasted by how disappointed I was in this restaurant that I had to update my review to share more about the food. Let's start with the $20 cheese board my wife ordered, She has dietary restrictions so this seems safe. 12 pieces of cheese, certainly not gourmet by any means, a handful of nuts she couldn't eat, a handful of blueberries and a strawberry which she could not eat as well. Sent it back in exchange for vegetable spring rolls, which never showed up and at the end of our meal we were told they were out of them. On to the entrees, my etouffee was very good, only had five shrimp in it and the portion was very small. My ordered grilled shrimp on a skewer, She received five of the smallest shrimp I've seen not on a skewer. On to dessert, key lime pie and a type of cheesecake, both tasting of previously very frozen. Not fresh at all. For $150 for dinner I had to come home and make myself something else to eat. Overall a great experience. Staff was very kind and the atmosphere was great. I only had an appetizer and dessert but both were delicious. My drink was definitely strong as hell which I appreciate if I'm paying 13 bucks for a whisky sour lol. Make sure you put your name on the waiting list for the restaurant on the left side of the building. The right side is ONLY drinks and apps. We got confused.

Arrived and was put on the waitlist for a table and told it would be 45 minutes and we could wait at the lounge area next door. We ordered drinks at the lounge but after 30 minutes they never arrived so we canceled them and went to wait next door since it should only be another 15 minutes. We waited about 30 minutes and got seated only to find out it was “tiki week” and they didn’t have the regular menu. This was never advertised on their website and not told to us at any point so we waited an hour for nothing. We told the manager on duty that it would have been nice to be told upfront the regular menu isn’t available and she didn’t seem to care.

Dave, one of the bartenders, is fantastic. Knowledgeable and friendly. Makes excellent recommendations.

I spend a lot of time in their patio smoking cigars. The service is top notch but the bar food needs major upgrade .

Be careful, they have a cocktail lounge and a restaurant. They’re side by side with same signs and not connected. We went to the cocktail lounge and got on the wait list no realizing it wasn’t joined with the restaurant. And… if you want food it’s not at the cocktail lounge. Also if you want service go somewhere else. Drinks were weak and service was terrible .

The food was horrible. Our server was intoxicated. Took 20 minutes to get water. Never Again!
