Walk through the worst part of town to be ignored at the door? Great spot. Glad you got your lil passwords, we walked 15 minutes through absolute SF garbage to go here. Completely ignored at the door.

The Library was a great little speakeasy style bar. It wasn’t a bad size, but it seemed like a miss the way the tables/seats were laid out. The bookshelves were stocked with a variety of books, but not all fell in place with the ambiance that they were trying to give off (areas missing books, encyclopedias from the 80s). Now, the real treat was the bartenders. The drinks were killer. They were delicious and the bartender was clearly knowledgeable and excited about working with alcohol.

They seem understaffed and did not let us in until we booked reservation even though the place was pretty much empty. Otherwise it was pretty cool

they have a reservation only place and a public facing bar -- both have similar decor and I believe serve all of the same drinks. The reservation only place is more like a private table. Besides the aesthetic (and needing a reservation), there isn't a ton of speakeasy elements. The drink menu is pretty long, and they have whiskey flights with some unusual whiskeys

The rudest service I have ever had
