We have been eating there for man years. When it closed shortly and an amazing staff member Daria bought it out, GOOD BECAME GREAT. It is truly like cheers where everyone knows your name. Homemade soups, amazing omelets, cornbeef hash to die over and a great Lunch menu.Parking is always easy.Let us support this small local business where an employee saved it and made it better. The story is what makes our city of neighborhoods great. Please tell your friends and post on social media, I want them to open for dinner so get behind them please. Paul and I are there every Saturday from 9:00-9:30 stop and say Hi Mark DaBoss The Alley Chicago
Really great food, loved their paninis, and one of the best Belgian Waffles I've had in a while! Great brunch vibe and service.
Bartender was very friendly and the whole staff socialized the whole time. "Bottomless Mimosas" was a great time!!
Unfriendly front staff, when asked for a second paper bag to complete a delivery, I was met with rudeness. I was given a plastic bag instead of a paper bag. Presentation and the experience of handling the food is important. It can make a difference between, “I just ordered fast food.” Vs “I ordered from a nice restaurant.” Paper bags add to a better experience when receiving the food as the customer. Outside of this, the food was stacked too high and the bag was unsecured. When I order food, it brings me peace of mind that the bag I receive has some tamper proofing. Thank you.
I had breakfast; my son had lunch. The server offered to let me sub sweet potato fries for the regular potatoes! The food was good, the service was good, and the place was very pleasant. Nothing wow!, but definitely okay.
