Drove 2 hours to enjoy the ambiance of sitting on the Riverwalk at Boudros and had no problem waiting to have that experience, but the hostess stated the obvious, that it had rained and then sat us inside. When people were still being seated outside, we asked again before the server came and she just apologized and said the manager just sat the available table. So we sat in a tight, loud, smaller room inside. Someone recommended to try the $15 Prickly Pear Margherita. It was served in a Martini glass and didn't taste any different from other Margheritas. The salads arrived room temperature and the entire food quality did not match the price whatsoever. Server was very friendly though. I've enjoyed fine dining restaurants and this did not live up to that expectation.
The chicken tacos did not have any seasoning on the meat. The restaurant is relying on its location to draw people in and not its food.
We dined by the river, but the inside dining room seemed pretty copacetic as well. The salad tasted wonderful all the way through. The prime rib center steak was peppery and crusty on the outside and tender and rare inside. Will return if we have a chance.
We had a great experience! I was able to get a table outside close to the water and experience an awesome service from Fielding! He was attentive and very customer oriented. I was meeting up with high school friends of many years and he made it extra special. Did a great job on the table side guacamole! The food was very good.
