You will love this experience. Morgan helped with many good suggestions. We’ve had french onion soup all over France and this was the best. We had chicken and venison and both are top shelf. The wines are mostly local which is a plus.
they have an amazing selection of wines, a lot from the local wineries up here in santa barbara. the chef will even prepare a custom dish with patron selected ingredients, amazing!!!!
Skip the coffee. The menu was simple but acceptable. If you are looking for appetizers to go with you alcohol you will be disappointed. Sommelier was knowledgeable about the wine list. The little gems salad showed some aging on the lettuce. Duck was the signature dish of the house and you can judge for yourself. Dessert menu is very classic but I will definitely recommend to skip the coffee. BTW, this is bouchon, with a small b, and it is only in Santa Barbara.
Loved our meal with friends. Asked for and received excellent guidance on our wine choice.
Most wonderful duck, free range chicken, and fresh sea bass. Service was polished, yet unpretentious. Ambiance , warm and inviting. A real gem in Santa Barbara.
We had just eaten at brothers in solvang so that was hard beat. Good experience but a bit pricey for what you get.
What a wonderful dining experience. Staff was great, food was tasty. Do the scallops!
Bouchon is a beautiful restaurant. My long time friend brought my wife and I here tonight to celebrate our birthdays. The staff was very welcoming. We even joked around with one of the runners. Our server, his name escapes me right now but he was extremely friendly and his suggestions were spot on. For starters we had the Roasted Butternut Squash purée, I had the Escargot with Puff Pastry and finally the scallop trio. I LOVE escargot and the buttery sauce with the puff pastry was a perfect match. The purée was warm and savory. Finally the Scallops all had incredible taste profiles. For main courses we had the Steak au poivre, the Maple Glazed Duck & confit of thigh as well as the Lamb Chops with risotto. These dishes were exemplary and the Duck has left a lasting impression on me. We closed out our evening with the Chocolate Lava Cake and the Creme Brûlée. We walked out slowly and completely full. Visiting this restaurant is a must when you’re in Santa Barbara.
