Bouchon Bistro

Very nice place with elegant atmosphere, even if very noisy, excellent service, very friendly,even if the hostess, despite having a reservation, made us wait almost twenty minutes to get a table, this is one of the negative points. The food? Very expensive and poorly cooked, almost everything was salted so much so that we had to leave the food on the plate because it was too salty. not a place I would recommend for the food, but certainly for the professionalism of the waiters..

First time trying Bouchon. I’d give it a 4.5/5 but I’m rounding up to 5. It was good. Great, lively atmosphere and had excellent service. The food was good, deviled eggs were *extremely* salty. Endive salad was very fresh. Beef tartare was excellent, as was the escargot and the steak frites. Had to ask for a new knife for the steak because it wouldn’t cut through the steak. The second one wasn’t much better. Would go back again, amazing service for a Miami restaurant.

We had dinner last night at Bouchon and unfortunately, our experience was terrible. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the service lacked attentiveness. We were initially directed to the bar area where, despite our attempts to engage with the bartender, we were overlooked and left without even a glass of water. Upon finally being seated, our hopes for improvement were dashed. The delay in taking our orders was considerable, and the wait for our food seemed interminable. When the dishes did arrive, the quality was disappointing. The supposedly signature onion soup was served cold, and the chicken dish, had a texture reminiscent of rubber, far from what one anticipates from a reputable restaurant. In conclusion, my visit to Bouchon was marred by a series of disappointments, from the lack of attentive service to the subpar quality of the cuisine. This experience stands out as one of the most unsatisfactory dining encounters I have had in recent memory.

Disappointing. We love French food and were very excited about this place. The main problem was their service. It took forever to get our main course and when it came it was okay not even good. We were never offered another drink or refill water. The server never apologized for the delay. We really wanted to like this place but definitely not great. With so many options in the area, we would go anywhere else next time.

This restaurant has a very nice decor, and is vibrant and animated. Unfortunately, the food is subpar - My Trout was as salty as Bakala (salted cod) and my wife's Steak Frites came with terribly salted herb butter and super salted fries- although the steak itself was very good. After waiting long to receive just 2 glasses of wine, we waited over 15 minutes for our appetizer (Pate de Campagne) - my waiter just told me "Things take time" - and then another twenty minutes after our appetizer for our main course. We were afraid to order dessert. For a $200+ meal, with terribly slow service and super salted food, I don't see any reason to dine here again We expected much better from Chef Keller

The host started with a warm welcome and after mentioning our name for the reservation her attention went all to the computer. Blaming it after a minute we were welcomed to sit. For an anniversary table reservation of almost 2 months in advance, I was expecting a better table. But between 2 other tables it is. The service from Geraldo was perfect from beginning to end. Mostly aware of our anniversary and my allergies. A++! We appreciated getting service from 3 or 4 more staff members when it came to refilling water, bringing the plates, checking up on us retreating dishes. I was disappointed on the gnocchi entree as it was extremely salty. My wife who loves salty foods agreed it was way to salty. Unfortunately send it back and decided to change plates. The rest of the dinning experience altered a little due to the amount of salt already on my pallet. I could not eat the whole plate and I just had to continue drinking water. That aside it went well. We were given a lemon tart for dessert on the house. Unknown if it was because of our anniversary or the inconvenience of the salty gnocchi, we are thankful. A few other observations during our experience; - I overheard the waiter mention to one couple seated next to us that they were also celebrating an anniversary. And the other couple sat on the other side had the same allergies I had. Now, I don’t know if this is a technique of organization to place anniversaries or allergies in the same area but it was questionable, did this alter my area of reservation? I would recommend the waiter or host to keep their volumes a little lower when mentioning personal information too. - Earlier sitting down on our table and listening to today’s special, my wife wanted the tuna tartar. The waiter sold it well, but the couple who got the check next to us out loud mentioned, “the tuna tartar was 65 dollars?!” And my wife’s eyes opened and asked, the reply was “it was good, but not worth 65.” Moments later I noticed the blackboard next to the bar with the specials and prices. It would have been nicer to mention prices with the specials. The couple shocked on the price may have altered their overall experience. The ambience of the place is astonishing beautiful, well decorated, clean, organized, professionalism, and all effortlessly managed with a friendly staff. It was a little loud my wife would add and she loved the drink she had, but mentioned too expensive, like the tuna we didn’t have. I would admit that the place and the experience went well, it was a good experience. We will not be returning as the attention to detail requires minor improvement, but I’ll recommend Bouchon Bistro for those who crave a getaway fine dinning in a Classy environment without the 9 hour flight to Paris. Parking: Easier parking found behind the building. And be careful with the residential parking were permits are required.
