We had a bachelorette party dinner catered by Boucherie at our Airbnb. Angie and Sara went above and beyond in communication, delivery and setup for our dinner! We had a delicious charcuterie display, salad w/french dressing, a variety of poboys, and a case of sparkling wine. It was an amazing value for everything we received. All of the girls loved the food and we grazed on the leftovers throughout our weekend too. If you need an awesome catered dinner do not hesitate to have Boucherie take care of you!
Just a special place with great vibes. Wonderful service and the food was fabulous. Their small plate offerings allowed us to taste a number of selections and each one was enough for 2 people. Just perfect. Kid-friendliness: I see this more as an adult location.
Gorgeous location and incredible food. The whole team is amazing, too. Best happy hour in town.
We've really liked Boucherie over time, which is why I would estimate we've eaten there more than 20 times over the past several years. We had a sub-optimal experience there nearly a year ago, but decided to give it another go last night. It was even worse. The whole experience felt "amateurish" for lack of a better description. The hostess was brutal. At arrival our first interaction with her was her saying "I'm helping some other people so just stand over there." Sour face, and not an ounce of a welcoming tone in how she dealt with us or other customers. She seemed like she didn't want to be there. After she brought us to our table, she then brought silverware and proceeded to place them in a different way for each person at the table (I don't really care whether my fork is on the right versus left, but it was all just really odd how she scattered the stuff in front of everyone). Then left a carafe of water on the table with no offering to pour water into everyone's glasses. We were given 9 different paper menu's and none of them were food menus...just a lot of duplicates of the beverage and wine offerings. Later someone came with the amuse-bouche, and said "we only have two" (there were three of us dining). When entrees came there was no silverware left on the table. The hostess was nearby and we asked her for utensils. They never came and we just got up and got them ourselves. The food was mixed. The brisket, boudin balls, and bread pudding remain standouts. I had what was supposed to be chicken and andouille gumbo with potato salad that appeared and tasted like "short rib soup" for lack of a better description. I've never seen chicken look like that and there was no potato salad. I thought they brought me the wrong dish but I couldn't find anything on the menu that seemed like what was delivered to the table. The waitress was authentically nice and did a good job of scrambling covering a lot of tables. But the coordination across the staff of people from the hostess to the people serving the food was just awful. We will never be back to Boucherie. There are too many good restaurants in this town to go there. I suggest others stay away.
Absolutely terrible experience.
The New Year's Eve dinner was a disaster. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. The waiter is not to blame, the management was terrible. Initially our table was still occupied (which was okay) but we were not offered a drink during that time. Then we were told we had to sit outside, which was not apparent beforehand when we booked. The drinks took ages (cocktails over an hour) and the wine pairing didn't come at the same time as the courses which meant the food got cold. At other tables the guests did not get the same course at the same time. The food was okay but not great. The wine and food was not explained. The waitor was very friendly but extremly busy. Seemed to take too many reservations. All in all very disappointing on New Year's Eve and not acceptable for the price. We spoke to several people who were all very unhappy.
Went for the NYE pre fixe. Food was fantastic but service was extremely slow. Plan for it to take the whole night.
