Mojitos Bar and Restaurant

Horrible service and the food took an hour to come out and the place was not that full. The prices are way too expensive and the portions are small. The plate shown, costed more than $30 and the food was not good. A can of ginger ale costs $4 and $10 for 2 pieces of a roll, and the waitress took more than 45 minutes before she said your order is coming. The only reason I waited was because I was excited to try the food. The wait was not worth the hype and I will never come back to this place. I would give them no stars if I could. What a disappointment. The 2 separate bills with an 18% already added to both bills is insane. As you can see the owners cannot take criticism and argue with anyone being truthful about their experience here instead of learning and fixing things. As I was there I saw at least 3 people get up from their table and walk out due to their horrible experience. How can you be in the restaurant business and get mad when your clients are giving you reviews. To top it off, the bathroom was filthy, the music they were playing had profanity and the movie they were playing had a few sexual scenes while there were lots of young kids present. This place is a mess and I’m sure I’ll have the owner reply with a sarcastic remark as if it’s our fault. But again look at the reviews for yourself and prove for yourself. This place is nasty!

Bad experience for the first time, The food was very cold asked to be warned and they only warmed up the price in a separate bowl and the meat was still cold. Not a great first impression. Drink we're a bit more. We received two separate bills.

Great choices and good service.

Literally the best food I’ve had in a long time! There was a wait due to the freshness of the food but trust me it’s worth it!!! If you haven’t tried it yet you’re missing out! I came from Hartford and I will definitely make the drive again! Parking: there are a couple parking places in front but also a lot across the street which is available for use and also free!

We just ate here and The food was great. The drinks were mediocre. And the service was terrible. We were the first ones in and the last ones to get our food. The food was made wrong (Spanish sushi) we had to wait an additional 30 mins due to them running behind on their opening schedule. The mojito flights were super sweet and it took a long while before our waitress made them. I wouldn’t go back nor recommend. Also the fact that they already add the 18% gratuity on both the food and drink check is ridiculous as well. It should be one check and allow consumers with parties less than 5 to add their own tip. We had to pay $17 for a tip with terrible service.

Don’t even waste your time

Lived down the street from here for a while and never had the chance to check them out. Finally went with a friend and the experience was awful. We went and placed our order and was told it’ll be a while, about 45 minutes. We left and came back 45 minutes later to be told it’s going to take another 20minutes. Finally got our food after over an hour of waiting to see that the trifongo we ordered was just mofongo. I went back and was given attitude by a chick in red hair telling ME not to have an attitude and that the plate was trifongo and it clearly wasn’t. The lady that originally took our order came out and asked if I wanted a refund or to make it over only for it to take another hour. I received my refund and still upset. The food we did receive wasn’t as anticipated and lacked flavor. Atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and up beat but it’s probably best to have someone who doesn’t hate their job and take it out on customers. Sadly will never come back here nor recommend this place to anyone. I’d rather wait an hour at the Puerto Rican bakery at least knowing my food is going to be hot and taste good.the way they present themselves is actually pretty sad. Nasty attitudes no accountability and liars. Never coming here and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else comes here either

We sat at bar today and it was horrible, clearly it’s a family owned location and they are understaffed, we sat at bar person next to us got our order and we received hers. The flight was not worth the $70 for 2 it was super sweet. Now as for the rolls those were great no complaints. This place has potential but aren’t there yet they definitely promote on FB great but don’t live up to the hype. Won’t be going back and the pricing is crazy for the service and food also they split checks between bar and food and charge gratuity twice.
