Bonu' Taverna Italiana

A friend visiting from New Orleans a few months ago, treated us to take out from this restaurant. I'm in the downtown area. Very convenient. The food was delicious. She and her husband are coming to visit me the end of May, and she's already talking about taking us out to dinner here. We will be dining inside. Looking forward to it! Vegetarian options: Eggplant Parmesan was yummy.

Bonu is the place to go when you are looking for authentic Italian; when you're looking for flavor. My wife and I visit Bonu pretty frequently and we can say that is our very favorite local owned restaurant in our city. The family and friendly feeling as soon as you walk into this restaurant is second to none. Always make you feel very welcome. We visited yesterday and had the grouper risotto and it was DELICIOSO!!!!!!!! Best risotto we ever have and looking forward to have it again soon. Thank you to Lucca, Antonio and the amazing super starts staff that are always with a smile giving their best to their clients every day. We do appreciate all of you very much! Visit Bonu if you're looking for the authentic Italian; you'll be pleased without question.

Staff is top notch. Food is authentic Italian. Pleasant setting . Prices are reasonable. Did not have a drink so not sure there. I will continue to frequent this establishment whenever in St Pete.

Good food and service but rather functional, plus when we left, no one bothered to ask if we'd enjoyed our meal, etc. Felt like once you'd paid, that was it. Didn't make us want to return.

Matthew is a great server. Friendly, quick to bring whatever we requested, professional, attentive, yet never intrusive. We dined outdoors and ordered two "Reginas", spaghetti with clams, which were all fresh, and a "Vegana", which was loaded with all kinds of veggies. All dishes were hot, large portions, and were flavorful.

First time at Bonù and i am impressed how great it was. Antonio, the owner it s a charismatic guy, saying hi to everyone, always smiling..you can feel his energy in the atmosphere of the place. Pinsa was 10/10, crunchy, tasty and light to digest! Patas and cocktails also were really good. I am born and raised in italy and i can guarantee that Bonu' it s TRULY ITALIAN. Bravi Guys. A special thanks to Ana, our server, she is great!

Had the meatball appetizer and filet with roasted potatoes. All pretty flavorless and way underseasoned.
