Feels like a mix of a Michelin restaurant featured on the show The Bear, mixed with a Goodfellas, mafia, handshake-only deals, old money vibe.
This place has everything it needs to be great. Staff is overworked at least at the main bar. No pleasantries, no small talk, just work. Nothing personable about the staff, they all just "do the job" this place lacks that personal feel. The bartender/tenders were all so overwhelmed there was no sense of comradery, they were professional but completely lacked any sense of "getting to know the customer or creating an experience for the customer." it was very black and white, it felt stiff and jarring to ask for anything. Food was great, had the lobster bisque, Caesar salad, Crab cocktail and Wagyu beef carpaccio. only suggestion on the food was that they crab cocktail be served in a martini glass, the cabbage hides the crab, and it makes you wonder "what the hell is that?" The Wagyu beef carpaccio was great, just a little over kill on the arugula and parmesan cheese, let the meat do the talking not the toppings.
Great food, quiet dinner, Great service
