Came to this place for the Korean Fried chicken as they have drumsticks on the menu. Ordered medium size that consists of 10 drumsticks. The taste is rather disappointing. I wanted the chicken to stay crispy so asked if I can have it without the sauce and whether it will still be tasty without the sauce. The server reassured me that it will be tasty with no sauce and they strictly do not serve the sauce on the side. Also ordered the Japchae noodles as well. The drumsticks tasted very bland and again I asked if we can have sauce since I really didn’t expect it to be tasteless. Another server reiterated that they can drizzle the sauce over it and my friend picked the soy garlic and yummy yum. The sauce added taste to the chicken but the soy garlic was awfully sweet. The other flavor was ok. Next came the Japchae noodles which literally tasted the same as the soy garlic sauce and was overtly sweet. It is one of the worst Japchae noodles I ever had. Anyway, I will definitely not return for the food. I understand that the chicken needs to be prepared a certain way since it is a franchise/chain restaurant to keep to the consistency of what the brand is. But the taste of the sauce in this case definitely needs some adjustments. I’m a big fan of Korean food and Korean Fried Chicken. This to me is far from authentic. The chicken definitely needs to have sauce to taste better…but better sauce. However, I like to mention that the staff at this location is very friendly which kind of made up for the bad tasting food. I would not recommend going there if you want authentic/good Korean Fried Chicken. There are other restaurant and I noticed they have 1 competitor right outside across the parking lot. I had wanted to try this brand though, especially since they have drumsticks on the menu that most places chose to remove from their menu.
They don’t start cooking for take out until you get there. Need to wait for extra 20mins even though you order ahead.
Don't just fill up on the fried chicken - be sure to leave room for some of the other dishes, like the fried potstickers.
Loved the service and the food. Totally recommend!
They've added two more flavors! Updated food rating to give stars. Great cozy spot for some excellent chicken.
We've been looking for good Korean fried chicken and this place isn't quite meeting expectations. The best dish was the fancy fries with garlic and cheese and the fries were done really well. The fried chicken had a decent exterior breaded crispy coating, but the inside was really bland, and it really showed when you have these large drumsticks that look good portioned but are quite tasteless inside. We tried their Korean bbq and yang yum sauce, one sweet and one sour, but nothing really stood out. The worst dish was the must-try beef bulgogi taco... It's just beef and some mayo and veggie stuffed into soft taco.
best K BBQ around. this location is aways the best to go to for Bonchon
Think of this as a fast food Korean place with some surprising hits. Again good ingredients make great food. Prepare for spicy if your sensitive that way. Wings are tasty (both flavors) and cooked perfectly. The pickled radishes and Kimchi coleslaw was very tasty. Looking forward to trying other special items. I ordered to go and it was packed nicely. Inside are some TVs and simple tables, good for quick lunch but I wouldn't bring a first date. Caution the floor is slippery. Parking: Lots of parking. Kid-friendliness: Yes if they can handle spicy food. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to wheel in but might need help with the door.
