Bon Bon Sandwiches

I was very surprised when I saw this place was a 3.9 because I used to live over here and loved the bahn mi’s. Today’s food was very subpar, though. Dry beef, overcooked shumai.. It was disappointing, to put it kindly. The wings were the best part and they were dry as if they were overcooked as well. Despite all of the overcooked food, my food was cold and my bubble tea was watered down. Which tells me that their online ordering system is wrong. They didn’t provide any utensils. Then to top it off, I asked for a non-pork egg roll or spring roll, and they just didn’t give me one. The person at the front didn’t say anything about not having any or asking about another substitute. Actually, the person in the front didn’t say anything outside of asking the name on the order, so customer service definitely gets a 1. I gave it 2 stars overall because I still remember how much I liked their bahn mi’s. I’ll probably just stick to those if I decide to eat here again.

Waited 24 minutes for a sandwich but it was good. I did come at prime time though, 7:00 pm

This place is no good. I ordered the pork bahn mi. The bread was stale and the pork was tiny burnt pieces. I used to frequent this place often and hadn’t eaten there in a while, I was hoping it would be just as good. Unfortunately it just was not tasty.

Friendly staff, excellent food, have loved everything I’ve had here over the years. Every time I say “let’s get Bon Bon” to the husband, he lights up like a little kid, it’s such a treat.

I had high hopes for this place based on reviews and that there were always a couple people inside whenever I walked by. The people in front of us had ordered, we were still looking at the menu, but the waitress walked away and we waited to take our order but nobody came back until we rang the bell. I asked about the vegan bahn mi and if the bread had dairy in it, because having a severe milk allergy I always have to triple check. Sometimes places serve me something "vegan" and I end up having an allergic reaction due to their negligence. The waitress said "I don't know" and I said "can you check?" and she went to ask somebody in the kitchen. They also did not know. I asked if they had the package or know where the bread came from, she said "I don't know, let me call the owner" but the owner did not answer the phone. It baffles me that restaurants do not have a way to check these very simple things, and do not even know what they are serving people. It's a huge inconvenience for people with allergies just trying to get a bite to eat. I settled for the miso soup and a tofu fresh roll, which I had to get out of the fridge myself, and looked two days old. It was alright, I've had away better. The miso soup was awful. It was as if they took all the leftover broths they had and combined them at the end of the day. No miso flavor at all and a strange aftertaste. Worst miso soup I've ever had. I'm sure the other food is good, but I will probably never be back to try it. Wait staff was off putting and unhelpful, prices seemed decent though.

It is empty! I mean empty in this place. I ordered the Korean Chicken wings and they were not what they use to be. The chicken was not good quality and the sauce was missing it's kick. The staff at the time was super unhappy. I wont mention time frame incase they are still working there but employees complained of checks being short and tips being mishandled. it was actually sad to overhear and I have not retuned since.

Awesome chill place with great food. A must try. Their Gyoza is awesome, and so is their Banh Mi. Good seating for the space as well.
