My new favorite BBQ in Shreveport.
Service was good, dogs are allowed and the place is nice. I had the saddest brisket ever, it tasted like boiled brisket. Sausage was less than a supermarket quality and nothing special about the sides (Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes)
Long wait for food high prices small portions
was there with a group (6 of us) basic order 1 turkey "samich", 1 sliced brisket poboy,2 different orders of sliced brisket samiches, 1 turkey poboy..waiter was great but as is the case these days he was slammed because of lack of help. The common complaint was the bread. Exception was the jalapeno/cheddar bun(very good). The samich buns were very dry. The poboy buns are different than the ones in Bossier location I was told, but I always get a samich because I try not to take home leftovers..It was still a great lunch. 11:30-12:50 on a Wednesday. Still recommend and if you're interested in PICKLE BALL check out their indoor courts next door. til next review Smile and say hi to strangers in the grocery store.
The food was good at times. The breaded mushrooms were fantastic. The red beans and rice were spicy/salty. The fried okra was bland and had no flavor. The breaded okra just didn't taste right. Perhaps use the batter from the mushrooms. That would be better. The pulled pork was dry, not moist like some other bbq places I been to. The ribs were overcooked, and meat was burnt. The brisket was dry, not moist, and no flavor to any meat or side dish. Meat didn't taste like it was freshly bbq. No smoke ring or anything. Paid over 47$ for a single person. It's definitely pricey but not worth it. Waitress stuck me outside, seating at a metal table that was uneven legging(wobbled), and Waitress was not being prompt. Not prepared to do her job. She could be more prompt even though they were slightly busy. I never got a refill on drinks, or extra napkins, or bbq sauce to drown out the lack of flavor or taste.
Went in for Sunday lunch, the host questioned the server about tables and the server stated "she did not want the table". The restaurant was completely open and they proceeded to sit me and my family on the patio. Let's remember it's 35 degrees outside but we couldn't understand why we couldn't sit inside where there were plenty of tables. Thanks Bodacious BBQ but it's a NO FOR ME! I ONLY GAVE 1 STAR BUT ZERO WAS NOT AN OPTION.
22.68….not worth the two meat plate. Heavy vinegar taste and ribs were not fall off the bone and chicken was overcooked. Mashed potatoes had a funny taste the red beans and rice has a bbq flavor not good. Pups had a good meal!
