The service was awesome. Valet and inside service were superd. We made reservations but showed up almost an hour early. They went ahead and seated us. I ordered the braised short rib. It was served on a bed of polenta. My short rib was so tender. The polenta was good. They both were seasoned to perfection. Parking: We utilized the valet parking, but it looked like street parking was optional.
We went to this restaurant on the advice of #badassbham. It did not disappoint. The food was very good and delightfully presented. We tried every dessert. They were all very delicious. I was so surprised by the doughnut that we had to confirm our delight with another.
I'm sure the scallops and risotto would have been good if it had been warm when I got it. The scallops were fresh and sweet. The risotto had no seasoning and tasted like cold mush.
Everything, and I mean everything, was exquisite. From start to finish, every aspect of this meal was amazing. Attentive service with knowledgeable staff, perfect sauces, perfect portions. One of the best meals I’ve had in Birmingham. Worth the cost, will be back again! Recommend the Bolognese and the squid ink pasta for sure!
