BoCaphe SoHo

Soho location closed and the Chelsea location has new owners and chef. Menu is the same, but the food and service isn’t. They’re definitely cutting back. Just isn’t as good as it used to be. Also they changed the noodles in the rice vermicelli bowls to some sort of thicker noodle. I asked about it when I got my food. I’ve been eating Vietnamese food for over 29 years. The waitress tried to tell me that I must be confusing them with pad Thai noodles. This isn’t even a Thai restaurant, so why would I be confused? That was insulting especially since she then admitted that they had changed the noodles because it’s a new chef. I won’t be back.

This is my new favorite spot! I’m obsessed with pho. The pho at BeCaphe is exceptionally delicious! I love the presentation as well-the side ingredients are brought to you in a tray. They use fresh chili pepper instead of those greasy hot sauce bottles. The atmosphere there is chic and cozy. The little details such as put fresh mint leaves in the water bottle, put a piece of French newspaper under the dessert glass (much better than a tissue) and fresh cut little flowers on the table…etc. It makes the whole experience remarkable. No need to mention friendly people who bringing you the food with genuine smile. Oh, the spacious bathroom with fresh flower arrangement and hand painted tiles to complete your delightful experience!

Pho-Suppe und die Sommerrollen waren sehr gut und das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön, würde auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen.

Amazing food and amazing service!! Atmosphere and decoration were great as well. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in the city! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options!

We got the beef pho, the veggie summer rolls and veggie bahn mi (which came with the delicious taro chips), all were excellent, fresh, and unique. Highly recommend!

The flavors were good and prices of weekend brunch items were also reasonable. I had the egg banh mi, bao bun benedict, taro fries, and sake. Wish they had unfiltered sake but walked out happy. Don't recommend the hydromiel drink though - very sweet.
