Bob's Steak & Chop House - Omni Tucson National Resort

First time going here, I see the sign all the time for this place and just never made the time until now. Our server was Kathleen and she was excellent. She answered our questions with such great knowledge and advice to help myself and my table of family make an informed decision about not only the cut of steak they were looking for but the cook as well. I'm so glad Kathleen was our server for myself and my sister's birthday dinner. She's the best.

Had our New Year’s Eve dinner here. The lobster bisque was very salty. We each had a couple of spoonfuls and asked the server to clear the table. Usually at an upscale restaurant the server or the kitchen would have asked when they saw the food was barely touched. Not here. I ordered the filet mignon medium well with a little pink in the center, I could not even cut it with the steak knife. Our server noticed it and replaced it immediately. It was tender and juicy but too salty for me to finish. They had a prefix menu but we do not like prime ribs. After we ordered, we overheard that next our table was able to substitute the entree. Wish we knew. The keylime pie was nothing special. The butter for the bread not spreadable. The sour cream for the baked potato was solid. The meal was ok but not very good for the reputation of Bob’s. The staff was very friendly. The crab cake was delightful. The dining room was very dim (had to use the phone to read the menu). Parking: Plenty parking in the garage when we were there.

Do not spend your money here. I'm fortunate to have had a gift card. The pork chop was mostly fat, the mac and chz side dish was cold. The $75 halibut had no flavor. The waiter was the best part, extremely professional. Food was horrible for the price

Until my visit to Bob's Steak & Chop House, I held Manny's Steakhouse in Minneapolis in high esteem, and I am not taking anything away from Manny's. This is by far, the finest steakhouse that I have ever visited. The entire meal was cooked to perfection, and the staff was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will return the next time that I am in Tucson.
