Would not recommend Bob's unfortunately. Perhaps I made a mistake by coming in on a Monday but the food wasn't great (definitely not $200/2 people great) and the service was mediocre. The steak was undercooked, the salmon overcooked, never offered a second cocktail and the waitress didn't seem to be familiar with the menu. The manager did come by and offer a free dessert but honestly just didn't make up for the general vibe. I would recommend going elsewhere in Austin (so many wonderful restaurants here) and skipping Bob's.

Get on the roof if the weather is nice, it‘s very charming. If you are traveling and alone, then sit at the bar, you will be have a good time with their great bar staff. This has been a favorite of family and friends for quite some time. It is a great place for a good steak and a great atmosphere — maybe a little annoying the bread is kept a state secret and only available on request if you remember to ask for it. Not a great value, because the prices are not competitive for a similar quality of steak, but if you need something that is consistently good, then this is your place. I would compare it to McDonalds, it is consistent and exactly what you expect, but not much by way of unique offerings or character.

As always it's super on point. Great steaks and Lobster tails. The martinis are excellent. The service is always above par.

I have to firstly clarify that I'm a vegetarian and so obviously it was a bad idea to go to a Steakhouse... But many times business dinners force one to go. Many other steakhouses have atleast have one vegan or vegetarian option for the occasional visitor. This place gave a veggie dish which was basically a few huge half boiled pieces of vegetables including a large onion cut into 3 pieces. The asparagus was not well cooked. And the tomato mozzarella salad didn't have any decent dressing on it. The creme brulee dessert was also sub-par - have had much better in many other places. Obviously they could do better for the extremely high prices they charge.
