Save your money and go to a gas station for breakfast. The food here is mo better than a hojo. Very disappointing.
Do not eat here! Yes it’s convenient because you can walk down from your room but there’s a price, literally. Over 70$ for 4 people 3 were kids , to have their continental breakfast which includes bagels pastry’s and cereal. You can’t even get fresh eggs, if you want eggs and meat or pancakes that’s 10$ a person more. I spent less per person at a steak house for dinner last night. And the food is just ok , not horrible but no where near good. Your in Boston , walk ten minutes in any direction and have a 5 star breakfast for half the cost and support a local business instead of a hotel chain.
Our party of 4 chose to have dinner here prior to going to Scullers Jazz Club, also located in the Double Tree Inn. $48 per person for a very limited buffet with low quality food. Service was sub par- waited 15 minutes for drink order to be taken and dirty plates not cleared. $18 for an average mixed drink. A forced tip of 20% was added to bill. Boathouse 400 is a rip off.
If you happen to be staying at the Doubletree hotel in Cambridge, don’t miss breakfast at the hotel before you head out. In addition to great views of the Charles river, the staff (especially Krissia) was just superb! Breakfast was cooked fresh and delicious every single day we ate at the restaurant and the staff served us with a smile. It absolutely was the very best start to our day!!!
Food was very good. A little pricey
