Bánh Cuốn Lưu Luyến

The best banh cuon I've ever had that wasn’t homemade. The texture is just the right amount of chewy without being too soft and mushy. Their bun rieu was really good too. I will definitely be back every time I visit Cali.

Pretty good place for lunch! Came here recently Sunday and it was packed—the restaurant is very small so there was a wait especially for a big table. Recommend the Bánh Cuốn Đặc Biệt, which is the pork, shrimp and plain rice sheet combination platter that comes with several different food to try! The Bánh Tôm Cổ Ngư (shrimp and sweet potato fritter) was good, pretty crunchy too. Bánh Cuốn Thịt Nướng (grilled pork and veggies rice paper roll) was okay. We tried the Nem Chua Heo (fermented pork)—was not a fan. Wanted to try the Shrimp Rocket but they didn’t have it available that day.

Went at 3:20pm. Hours are open until 4pm. Hostess advised they were closed. No take out available. Apparently the chefs had to go to church but I’m not sure why their google hours are inaccurate.

This place is fire. Luckily scored a table because I went early enough but there is a wait during the busy times. A lot of people were ordering to go as well. The portions are huge so you can honestly split them if you’re not too hungry. I finished it just fine though since I was pretty hungry. A whole container of fish sauce is at every table so you can add as much or as little as you want. Definitely authentic and they sell other things as well. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem that reminds you of Hue, VN. I decided to give this restaurant a try because it was located in the same plaza as my go to Spa. I ordered their banh beo (rice cakes with shredded shrimp) and banh uot (rice rolls with steamed pork and veggies). Their dishes reminded me so much of my childhood trips to Vietnam. It tasted very authentic. The dishes were prepared to perfection. It took less than fifteen minutes to receive my order. The restaurant was small but very busy. I definitely will come back to dine in and try their noodle dishes. There are plenty of catered dishes to order from. The dishes were fairly priced. The orders were very fulfilling. Highly recommend!
