Chill place with decent food. Street parking could be a pain tho.
Very good noodle soups. They offer some unique ones as well like #34 on their menu - mi ga xoi mo and mi quang- that few others in the neighborhood have. I highly recommend this restaurant.
TERRIBLE. One server for the whole restaurant on a friday night, and the food was not even up to standards. I ordered a platter for fishcakes, pork, and tofu, etc., and it came with a sauce that tasted salty, and smelled horrid. The snails that I ordered came with corn that was exactly like what comes out of the can. Overall, can’t say anything good about this place. I was really hoping for a good experience, but the food sadly did not deliver.
My favorite viet restaurant ever!!! Such a wide variety of dishes and they’re all so flavorful and comforting (especially the soups). Took my family here and they loved it as well. Highly recommend the glass noodle soup, beef noodle soup (pho’bo), the salted fish fried rice, and the smoothies. Owner is very kind. My go-to spot!
Service is really fast apparently. I called and was told 5-10 min for conch and pho. Traffic was horrendous and took me over an hour though. I’ve never had conch before. The seasoning was great (smokey, sweet, bright, crispy, and slight bit of spice) as was the peanut crunch, but I don’t think I like conch as a meat. It’s like the clam round posterior muscle thing, but that’s the entirety of it instead of only a portion. The pho was ok. Neither the best nor the worst I’ve had. The meat in the soup was very tender. Was just under $32 total. If the drive wasn’t so awful, I’d consider going again. Street parking. Interior is somewhat small.
If you want hotpot and some seafood, this is a place to go! The restaurant is not so good for large group (8+) but great for a small group (under 6) or couple or single. 2023 Update! Still one of my favorite restaurant. Must try their Pho Ga and Mi Ga (Chicken Noodle Soup) the only restaurant in MA I know that actually serves real chicken (not those shredded chicken )
I've come to this restaurant a few times. And whilst the food was decent, tonight I saw a roach crawling across the table. I was so embarrassed for them I abruptly asked for the check. I paid tipped and left deciding to never go back... When I got home I stripped in my front hall and found one IN MY CLOTHES. At this point Im livid, so I called the restaurant to tell them and they point blank said I made it up, whilst proceeding to tell me to come back and look at the camera as if you can see a roach on a table from a camera. The icing on the cake was him telling me he couldn't have roaches cause the exterminator is there every two weeks... Why in the world would you need such frequent extermination visits if there isn't a problem to begin with... All I'm saying if there is one roach in the front there are probably a multitude in the back. Eat here at the risk of hitchhikers. Bon Appétit!
This place was so delicious. It was our last restaurant while visiting Boston and it did not disappoint. Canh chua and ca kho to was so good! Along with rau muong xao toi. The owner was so friendly and kind. Thanks for all the good food Ban Toi!
