This place is exquisite inside. However, my experience started off with a bad taste in my mouth from the African American female hostess with braids, I did not catch her name or I would address her by it. When I arrived, I let her kno I was there for my reservation. She found it and said, “for 2?” I explained to her that my +1 was maybe not coming. She told me that I could sit in the Atrium room..when I reserved the Chandelier room. I told her I reserved the Chandelier room. She said since I was by myself I could sit at a tabletop or the bar and receive full service. I explained I wanted the booth I reserved. She said those are reserved for more guests than 1. Where on the website or during the reservation making process does it say that u cannot reserve a booth for dinner if ur by yourself? I ended up sitting at a tabletop in the bar. My server Jenny, was absolutely amazing! She saw that I was a little bummed but she treated me like a queen regardless of me being by myself. I purposely racked up the bill to make me worth her time and for taking her table. She discounted my appetizer bc she is a good human and brought me the birthday cake to take home for myself since my +1 no showed. I made sure to tip her as if she served 2 of us instead of 1 and personally thanked her for being amazing! EXPERIENCE IS EVERYTHING! The food was great, no complaints. The hostess can kick rocks. She needs retraining! In waiting for the valet to bring up my car, another set of ladies were waiting for their car who also had an issue with the hostess. Who also reserved the chandelier room and was trying to be shuffled to the atrium room. Who also was sat in the table top area in the bar next to me. Sounds like they are pulling a bait and switch on people with their reservations! NOT OKAY! Why ask us during reserve where we want to be seated if the room is full! Those ladies didnt take it as well as I did. They got 2 drinks and left and went to portillos. They refused to spend $300+ dollars after being treated that way. Proud of them for setting boundaries! BLVD steakhouse, DO BETTER! There are way too many options in Chicago to spend hundreds of dollars on dinner that will gladly take our money wether we are a party of 1 or 10! Patrons can go elsewhere and be welcomed— not treated unworthy of sitting at a pretty booth under a pretty chandelier just bc you’re eating alone!

We were excited to try the brunch in our first visit. The outdoor patio was gorgeous and we got seated right away. Service was great!Overall, the experience was good. The menu was pretty good! The french toast is not photogenic but it was delicious. Tasted like a moist cake with mascarpone cheese and strawberry/maple jam (just sweet enough). My omelette and the avocado toast were good. The beet salad was surprisingly tasty; the apple made it crunchy. The mushrooms were perfect! The 3 stars are mainly given due to the lack of flexibility. My friend is vegetarian and wanted to have the omelette with veggies but that was not an option. No substitutions are allowed and she understood that, however, it was just unbelievable when she asked to have the avocado toast with an over medium egg instead of over easy. The server came back and said the kitchen could not make the change. She insisted on it since it was a reasonable request, the server agreed, and it was served over hard (see pic). Disappointing, to say the least since eggs are a basic part of a brunch menu. To end on a good note, I have to say we all loved the coffee, strong but not bitter. Also had a taste of the pineapple paradise cocktail and it was good! I would probably go back to try the dinner menu in the beautifully decorated interior with the impressive chandelier. Vegetarian options: The only options are the sides or the salads.

I had a great time at this restaurant and the ambiance was very nice but to be honest, I wasn’t impressed by the food or drinks at all. The bone marrow was deceiving and half way done. Bones were HUGE with mostly caramelized onions inside instead of marrow. Drinks were JUST ok. We tried 5 drinks. Two were ok, the others were nasty. My wife had chicken and grits and she said the whole meal was so BORING! I had ribeye and Mac & cheese. Ribeye was ok but I’ve had much better! Mac & cheese was pasty! Best thing on the table, Caesar salad! Our server Jenny was great!
